‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Amelia Heinle Welcomes Thad Luckinbill Back To ‘Y&R’ –What’s Next For JT?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Amelia Heinle, the actress who plays Victoria Newman, welcomed Thad Luckinbill back to the CBS daytime drama. Amelia tweeted, “Very excited to welcome Thad back to the show.”
The rumor started several weeks ago that Luckinbill would return to Y&R in December. CBS confirmed the scoop with a video teasing he could reunite with his ex-wife (both in real life and on-screen), Victoria Newman.
Amelia and Thad met and married in real life and share two children. In March, he filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Even though they are no longer romantically involved, they remain very close friends.
Thad will return as J.T. on December 12. He hasn’t been seen since 2010 when he left the city with his wife, Mackenzie, Katherine Chancellor’s granddaughter. Hellstrom fought for sole custody of young Reed after realizing that Victor’s (Eric Braeden) involvement in his son’s life was dangerous. The judge agreed and handed him sole custody, giving Victoria visitation rights. J.T. decided to move away, taking Reed away from his mother. Hellstrom, Mackenzie, Reed, and his half-brother, Dylan relocated to move on from the bitter custody battle and rebuild their lives.
The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that with Luckinbill returning, it could mean that J.T. and Victoria could get back together. At this point, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) has not disclosed his dad’s relationship with Mackenzie. All that is known is they were married and shared a child seven years ago.
The Young and the Restless has tried to put Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria together several times. However, it rarely works. Billy is impulsive and always finds a way to betray those close to him. as of Monday’s show, Victoria and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) want nothing to do with him.
Time will tell if Young and the Restless will have Mackenzie and Dylan follow J.T. to Genoa City. Based on the spoilers, Hellstorm will stick around for a few months. There is no mention of his wife or child coming back with him.
The most apparent reason for J.T. visit is to see Reed. The Young and the Restless spoilers tease the real reason for his visit could be something else. Victoria mentioned to Billy that she tried to call J.T. but was unable to reach him.

It will be fascinating to see how it all plays out over the next few weeks. Is it possible J.T. wants to reconnect with Victoria? If not, what could keep him in town for two-three months?
