Kate Gosselin & Ex Jon Gosselin Reportedly Gearing Up For ‘Aggressive’ Custody Battle
Kate Gosselin’s former husband Jon Gosselin is allegedly gearing up for an “aggressive” custody battle with the mother of his eight children after new reports claimed that the former reality star has now “overhauled” his life and is ready to fight for more custody of his kids.
According to reports, after splitting with Kate after 10 years of marriage in 2009, Jon has now got himself a steady job and is allegedly gearing up to head to court for what could be a nasty custody battle in order to spend more time with his eight children, 16-year-old twins Mady and Cara, as well as 13-year-old sextuplets, Alexis, Joel, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, and Collin, who is currently seeking treatment for “behavioral issues.”
“[Jon’s] doing everything he can to win their next custody battle,” a source recently alleged to Hollywood Life of how Gosselin has turned his life around following some eyebrow-raising behavior following his very public divorce from Kate eight years ago. “He’s totally overhauled his life, he’s even back working a regular job again.”
The insider also added that Jon – who it was recently revealed had been working for some time as a DJ – has only one goal right now, and that’s “getting more time with his kids,” which is why he recently got a steadier job as an I.T. administrator.
“It’s a good stable job with decent pay,” claimed the insider of the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star’s new career. “He knows that’s what he has to do to get his kids back. He’s really hopeful that this will help him get more time with his kids.”
As noted by the site, Gosselin’s lawyer claimed in August of this year that the father of eight was starting an “aggressive and relentless [fight] for his kids,” though reports claiming that he’s now “overhauled” his life in order to get closer to his children comes shortly after the famous family hit the headlines once again.
After Kate revealed during episodes of TLC’s Kate Plus 8 earlier this year that their son Collin was spending some time away from the family in order to receive treatment for unspecified behavioral issues, fans lashed out at the former Dancing with the Stars contestant last week after Collin was noticeably absent from the family’s recent Halloween celebrations.
Gosselin shared a photo of five of her sextuplets all dressed up for the holiday on October 31, though a number of social media users slammed the reality star on Instagram because Collin wasn’t home to celebrate with his brothers and sisters.
The photo inspired some seriously nasty responses, including one from Instagram user @alextrajo.1 which viciously read, “Why did you give your son away @kateplusmy8 you stupid piece of s***?”
But while Gosselin hasn’t publicly responded to the backlash, sources then alleged to Hollywood Life that Jon reportedly “broke down and cried” after seeing that Collin was not with his siblings for yet another holiday after being absent for their 13th birthday earlier this year.
“He hates that she’s doing this to Collin and feels so helpless to stop her,” the site’s source alleged of how Jon reacted to seeing that his son wasn’t a part of his family’s Halloween festivities this year, claiming that he “has no say” when it comes to his son or any of his children’s day-to-day lives.
“[Kate] controls everything,” they then alleged of the tension between the former couple, who were married for a decade between 1999 and 2009. “It’s [Kate’s] way or the highway when it comes to the kids, including Collin.”
Neither Gosselin has responded to the recent claims, though Jon previously told Entertainment Tonight a year ago in November 2016 that Kate was supposedly refusing to tell him exactly where Collin is as he gets treatment.
