Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber Back Together And ‘Determined To Make Their Relationship Work This Time Around’

Now that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together, at least emotionally, the on-and-off couple are “determined to make their relationship work this time around,” according to a source close to the “Wolves” singer, as reported by Hollywood Life. Numerous photos of the couple have emerged over the last few days, sparking hot speculation that #Jelena are a thing again. Sources say that Gomez, 25, and Beiber, 23, have realized many things in the intervening years since their 2014 split, and that they’ve become more mature as a result.

“Justin and Selena are determined to make their relationship work this time around,” a source close to Selena said. “They’ve agreed this is their last chance, and that if they fail once again, then they will agree to be just friends. Selena’s kidney transplant was a wake up call for her and Justin—reminding them that life is precious and can be snatched away at any moment. They’ve vowed that they are going to make sure they don’t neglect their relationship in favor of their careers; that they are always going to make time for each other, and they will sit down and talk through any issues that they have.”

“Justin and Selena have matured emotionally from when they were last together, and have a much clearer idea of what’s important to them in life. When Justin and Selena dated previously, both of them took the other for granted, and neglected to put in the work that’s required to maintain a happy and healthy relationship—but, they’re totally committed to learning from their past mistakes.”

It bears noting that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are not “officially” back together yet, but sources close to the Biebs say that the “Sorry” singer is just waiting for Selena’s word that it is so. According to the source, Justin is taking it slow and realizes that he still has to win over Selena’s family before they can take the next step in their relationship.

For now, it seems that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are focused on enjoying each other’s company in every opportunity they can get. On Wednesday, the friendly exes were spotted in Los Angeles enjoying a bike ride together. Later that same day, Selena was photographed cheering Bieber on at his hockey game and then leaving the stadium wearing what appears to be Bieber’s New Jersey Devils jersey.

On Friday, the two went together to a church event at Microsoft Theatre, and then later to a private dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse in downtown Los Angeles. As reported by People, Bieber and Gomez stayed at the venue until midnight. Interestingly, an onlooker claimed that Justin went the extra mile for Selena by arranging a private dinner with her after the restaurant had closed.

There has been speculation that Justin Bieber was the reason why Selena Gomez and The Weeknd broke up after a 10-month romance. As previously reported by Us Weekly, The Weeknd had suspected that the two are on their way to a reconciliation even while he was still in a relationship with Selena. Sources, however, claim that Bieber had nothing to do with the split.

Bieber and Gomez went public with their relationship back in 2011. They officially broke up in 2014.
