‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Michael Muhney Watching ‘Y&R’ Again, A Hint Mal Young Cast Him As Adam?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Michael Muhney could be headed to the CBS soap opera in the near future. Muhney has a dedicated fanbase who have campaigned for the talented actor to come back to Y&R and reprise the role of Adam Newman since he left in 2014.
According to Michael’s Twitter page (seen below), he disclosed that he started watching Young and the Restless after a few years. Apparently, Muhney said he started watching the show on Wednesday, October 25, which happens to be the day Mal Young’s writing first aired.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that this could be a hint that Muhney may be “studying” the show. The most likely reason he would want to catch up on the show would be he was recently hired and needs to figure out the current storylines.
Another clue that Adam would soon arrive on the scene will happen on Monday, November 6. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) tells her father that since Adam is gone, she is the one he can trust to take control of Newman Enterprises after he retires. Y&R teased that Adam and Victoria would fight for the top Newman spot.
In 2014, Michael was allegedly in talks to return to Young and the Restless. As part of a last-minute deal, the network hired Justin Hartley (Kevin Pearson, This Is Us) instead. Since then, Muhney’s fans have campaigned for CBS to bring him back.
The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Mal Young has blocked any conversation about Adam at fan events. Many assumed that meant he might not want to bring the character back. However, the Y&R spoilers tease that is far from the case. He just wants to surprise the fans with Adam’s return when the time is right.
After a few years, I started watching again last Wednesday (Oct 25th) and I'm really, really enjoying the show. https://t.co/vNjmqhsf95

The Young and the Restless could offer Muhney a temporary contract to see how it works out. Michael had backstage drama with Eric Braeden (Victor Newman). The duo had great chemistry on the show, but was at odds with each other behind the scenes.
Earlier in the year, sources revealed that Y&R was looking to recast the role of Adam. They didn’t disclose when Adam would appear on the show or if they had found the perfect Adam.
The Young and the Restless fans hope that Michael Muhney watching the soap opera is a hint that he will be heading to the soap in the near future.
