‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Liz Dumps Lying Franco – Consoles Heartbroken Jake Doe

General Hospital spoilers for next week reveal that Franco’s (Roger Howarth) lies catch up with him and that means he’ll be in big trouble with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). Franco’s tense conversation with Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) on Friday’s GH indicated that Franco is desperately trying to protect his relationship with Liz. He’s worried that she’ll see him differently if she finds out he shoved baby Andrew down the stairs and is also concerned that with two Jasons in town, she might want one of them for herself. The problem is that Franco’s actions will soon drive Liz into the arms of another man.

Liz, Sam, and Jason-2 enraged at Franco

The latest General Hospital spoilers from TV Source promise that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) tells Jason-2 (Billy Miller) that Franco has a death certificate for little Andrew in his possession. But only Franco knows that’s a forgery given to him by Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery). Curtis tells Jason-2 and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) about the death certificate and they confront Franco. At the same time, Liz is at the PCPD face-to-face with Jason-1 (Steve Burton).

Everyone in town that’s spent any time at all with Jason-1 was convinced that he’s the “real” Jason. For Liz, Jason-1’s return could erase all the mistakes of the past three years. If the man she once knew as Jake Doe wasn’t really Jason, then she wasn’t keeping him from his family and didn’t try to get hitched to a married man. General Hospital spoilers hint that Liz shares a tender and sad moment with Jason-1 as they discuss Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) improbable return to their lives.

Liz fell in love with Jake Doe, not Jason

Remember that when Jake Doe rolled into the ER in 2014, Liz was drawn to him immediately without knowing who he was. GH history also reminds us that she fell for Jake Doe long before Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) told her that he was Jason Morgan. Now it appears that Nikolas was lying and knew about Patient 6 and Drew Q. But also, it means that Liz never tried to steal the “real” Jason from Sam. The return of Jason-1 is a stunning revelation for Liz that has her rethinking her choices.

In fact, Liz might now believe that Sam stole Jake Doe from her instead of the other way around if he’s not really Jason. General Hospital spoilers also promise that Franco must answer for his lies. Liz will be devastated once the truth comes out, but getting Franco to come clean will be like pulling teeth. He’s so afraid of losing Liz that he’ll keep trying to lie, which will push Liz further away. Franco is his own worst enemy in this matter, and this is one lie too many for Liz. GH rumors hint she’ll walk away.

Jake Doe dumped and heartbroken?

Some General Hospital spoilers tease that Sam will stick with Jason-2, but others say she’ll go back to her old love Stone Cold Jason-1. Remember, they’re still married! The man that was Jake Doe doesn’t know who he is, so Sam is his lifeline. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), and everyone he trusts turn their backs on him and no longer believe he’s the “real” Jason. Also, remember that Sam didn’t fall for Jake Doe until she knew he was Jason.

It was the revelation that he was Jason Morgan that convinced her they needed to be together. So, if Jake Doe isn’t Jason, then everything Sam believed is out the window. Yes, she has a child with Jason-2, but all her love was about Burton’s Jason. If Sam chooses Burton’s original Jason, that leaves the former Jake Doe alone, hurting, and searching for comfort. And, of course, if all this plays out as some GH spoilers say, Liz will be waiting with open arms. Liz could get one Jason while Sam gets the other.
