Katt Williams On Arrest: How Do You Keep Kids Safe Without Guns?
Katt Williams was arrested on Friday at his house in Woodland Hills after an investigation by the LA County Department of Children and Family Services. Williams’ four kids were taken into custody after police found guns and drugs at his home and the comedian was arrested for child endangerment.
Williams, who was being held on $100,000 bail, was released this morning.
Williams told TMZ:
“If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you’re gonna find guns! I’m not in a gang, what difference does it make?”
Williams also argued that the illegal drugs found in his home weren’t really illegal. When asked about the drugs found at his home Williams responded that “weed is not a drug.”
If Williams’ account of the arrest is accurate and that the guns were locked in boxes away from his children and that the only drugs found on the premises was marijuana do you think that child services was right to take away his kids?
The exact details of the arrest and the reasons why child services decided to raid Williams’ home aren’t known at the moment but it probably has something to do with the comedian’s bizarre streak of behavior recently and his multiple arrests. In the last month, Williams was involved in a bar fight, a police chase, an electric scooter chase and he was evicted from a hotel.
