‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nathan Is Oscar’s Dad, Man Landers Book And Letter Reveal Clues

General Hospital spoilers provided on yesterday’s episode of the ABC soap hint at a stunning twist in the tale of Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt). Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Oscar, dressed up in their Game of Thrones gear as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, poked around his apartment, and Monday’s GH recap says they eventually found a big clue about his father. There was a letter from his dad tucked into a copy of the Ask Man Landers book. The letter revealed little, but the placement and other facts are interesting.

Was Nathan a soldier before he was a cop?

GH history is vague on Nathan’s history . He came to Port Charles from NYC where he was a cop. ABC soap viewers later found out he fled New York after he shot Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) when he caught him having relations with his treacherous wife, Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson). Nathan supposedly became a cop to find the person responsible for putting his sister, Nina Reeves, (Michelle Stafford) in a coma. Of course, he needed to look closer to home for answers.

The woman who raised him, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills), was really his aunt, and she’s the one that put Nina in the coma. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was revealed to be Nathan’s biological mother, but there are many gaps in his past. In fact, it’s quite conceivable that Nathan could have been a young soldier stationed in San Diego and met Oscar’s mother. Nathan might just be the secret dad that Oscar and Josslyn are searching for, but he never knew that he had a kid.

Nathan could have a kid – and Oscar’s mom revealed

If Nathan met Oscar’s mom when he was 18, he’s plenty old enough to have a teenage kid. Plus, consider General Hospital timing with parents and kids. Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) is only a decade older than Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is 47, and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is 30, yet Carly didn’t come to Port Charles until she was well into her 20s. Parent and child ages never align on soaps because of soap opera rapid aging syndrome (SORAS).

General Hospital spoilers for the November sweeps from She Knows Soaps say that Joss and Oscar get closer to discovering the identity of Oscar’s dad and his mom, Dr. Kim Nero, is introduced. Some speculate it may be Tamara Braun playing his mother, but nothing has been confirmed. Some tabloid sites are saying it’s “confirmed” that Braun will play Oscar’s mom, but this is pure speculation. There have been no official spoilers from reputable or official sources saying who Braun will play.

Nathan and Maxie’s sweeps promised family drama

Other November sweeps spoilers from the soap magazines promise that Nathan and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) discuss expanding their family. However, adding more people to the family doesn’t always mean having a baby, although many sites are also heavily speculating that Maxie will turn up pregnant soon. In fact, the West clan may add a teenager that Nathan never knew he had. Maxie would have no choice but to accept a stepson since Nathan’s been so good about Georgie.

General Hospital spoilers have not confirmed who will be Oscar’s father. Many sites have guessed that it will be Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), or Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), or even Patient Six (Jason Morgan). It seems every theory contradicts the last and everyone keeps on guessing. For now, no one knows what will happen except the GH showrunners. But the fact that Dr. Nero had the book with Nathan’s photo on it and a letter hidden inside might be a clue that it’s the sexy detective who’s the daddy.
