Christmas Day Parade Taping To Greatly Alter Schedule At Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Even though Christmas is almost two months away, Walt Disney World and Disneyland are preparing to get their parade taped and out of the way quite soon. Starting this week, Walt Disney World will be taping their holiday special performances and other events for the big Christmas Day Parade, and it’s going to happen at a few of their theme parks. With that schedule to start on Friday, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is going to undergo a number of schedule alterations which could affect guests.

As reported by Inquisitr earlier this month, Walt Disney World’s schedule for the Christmas Day Parade taping is going to start on Friday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It will run for five days and also head over to Animal Kingdom for a day and Magic Kingdom for three days.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

  • Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017

Magic Kingdom

  • Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017
  • Monday, Nov. 6, 2017
  • Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017

While this schedule is subject to change at any time, these dates and times will bring about some schedule alterations. Nothing is yet known for Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, but it looks as though guests heading to Animal Kingdom on Saturday may have to change up their itineraries.

According to Orlando Theme Park News , a number of entertainment offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are not scheduled to take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017. Again, this is always subject to change, but as of right now, these events are not happening on that day.

  • Tree of Life Awakenings
  • Winged Encounters
  • Sunset Serenatas
  • Viva Gala Street Band!
  • Discovery Island Carnivale

For those who will be in the park that day, there will also be fewer Disney PhotoPass photographers out and about. None will be stationed or in position in these locations:

  • Oasis bridge
  • Tree of Life hub

The Up character greeting with Russell is also going to be relocated to the gate of Flame Tree Barbecue, but only for Saturday.

Walt Disney World will once again not have any of the actual Christmas Day Parade taped in Orlando as that is all reserved for Disneyland in 2017. The special events and musical performances will take place in WDW, though, and it is going to bring about some schedule changes and possible alterations for close to a week. With that, anyone going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Saturday, Nov. 4, needs to know that a few events and attractions will not be taking place.
