‘LPBW’: Audrey Roloff Posts Cute New Baby Ember Photo, Reveals The Song She Sings To Her Daughter
Audrey Roloff is a proud new mother, and she’s just shared another photo of her adorable baby girl, Ember Jean. And while Audrey admitted that Ember is probably the only person who likes to hear her sing, the 26-year-old Little People, Big World star included a touching story of the last time she sang to Ember, and how she added a little twist to the lyrics of the classic hymn “Amazing Grace.”
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Audrey Roloff took to Instagram to share a new photo of baby Ember, as her 1-month-old daughter with Jeremy Roloff lay down in bed with a big, broad smile on her face. It was that face that Audrey focused on at first, as she remarked that she spends a lot of time in bed cuddling with her baby girl. The LPBW star expressed surprise as she noted that Ember likes it when she sings to her, even if “Amazing Grace” is usually the only song that she ends up singing.
That’s what led Audrey to tell the story of her new version of the nearly 250-year-old hymn, one where she replaced the use of “me” and “my” in the lyrics with the words “you” and “your” so as to emphasize the good things God wants for baby Ember.
“This verse became particularly encouraging as I sang it over her instead of myself, ‘The Lord has promised good to YOU His word YOUR hope secures; He will YOUR shield and portion be, As long as life endures, Yet when YOUR flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, YOU shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.'”
Audrey Roloff’s new baby Ember post appears to be a huge hit with Little People, Big World fans so far, as close to 30,000 followers liked the new photo within its first three hours of posting. Many fans commented that they too sang their own versions of lullabies or religious songs to their children when they were young, with others approving of Audrey’s choice to sing “Amazing Grace” or suggesting other hymns that Ember might appreciate. One user did mention the lyric “that saved a wretch like me” as possibly being a little too much for an infant, but Audrey’s followers have been very receptive of the photo, as well as the young mother’s story about her Ember-centric version of “Amazing Grace.”
As previously noted by the Inquisitr, Jeremy and Audrey Roloff have been busy as of late showing off baby Ember to their social media followers. Earlier this week, both Jeremy and Audrey took to Instagram to share photos of Ember posing in the Roloff Farms pumpkin field, with Audrey commenting that first-ever pumpkin patch photos are “kind of a big deal” if you’re a Roloff. However, not all of Audrey Roloff’s baby Ember photos have gone down well with LPBW fans. Us Weekly wrote earlier this month about how Audrey got flak from some followers for dressing Ember in brown tights and an “Always More Milk” onesie instead of “cute little dresses.”
What are your thoughts on Audrey Roloff changing the lyrics to “Amazing Grace” for baby Ember Jean? Do you have your own interesting stories of songs you sang to your children when they were around Ember’s age, or songs that your parents sung to you when you were a baby or toddler?
