Beyonce Wants You To Join Her Onstage At Super Bowl 2013
Beyonce want to share her upcoming Super Bowl moment with her fans. Fans who are also contest winners to be precise.
Fifty contestants will be selected to get onstage with the singer when she performs during the halftime performance at the Super Bowl XLVII, which is being held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3.
The contest is being hosted by Beyonce’s new business partners, Pepsi, the LA Times reports.
The soft drinks giant is sponsoring the contest which begins on Saturday. Contestants will need to send in photos of themselves — stylized in Beyonce-like poses that could possibly be used in adverts promoting the singer’s Super Bowl performance — to Pepsi’s website, the Huffington Post notes.
There’s no word on whether Jay-Z, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams — or Blue Ivy, for that matter — will join the 16 Grammy award winning Mrs. Carter onstage. But with 50 fans “shaking it” for all they’re worth on the big day, who needs stragglers?
Each of the 50 contest winners will be allowed to bring one guest to the game. All photos must be submitted by January 11, and all candidates have to do is strike a pose, snap it, and send it in.
The last time Beyonce performed at a Super Bowl was in 2004, when she sang the national anthem before the Patriots beat the Panthers in her hometown of Houston, Texas.
Time to dust off those stars and stripes.
