‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Head Writer Reveals Eric and Jennifer’s Future, Romance Or Just Friends?
Days Of Our Lives spoilers tease the future of Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves.) In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, head writer Ron Carlivati discussed what to expect. Will Eric and Jennifer remain just friends or will they try dating after he gets over the woman that he lost?

Last week on Days Of Our Lives, Jennifer talked to Abigail (Marci Miller) about Eric Brady. Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) fled town and as a result, Eric has a broken heart. He is in bad shape and certainly isn’t ready to fall in love again. However, he does have a bit of romantic history with Jennifer.
Melissa Reeves’ character was concerned that things wouldn’t be the same. This is because when they were together, they both struggled with addiction. However, Abby suggested that things might be better now that they are both sober. So, are the writers preparing to get Eric and Jennifer back together or not? Ron Carlivati discussed his plans for the two characters.
“Neither one of them is really looking for romance, so we’re basically focused on just trying to rebuild their friendship, and she’s trying to be there for him and help him through this loss of Nicole.”
Days Of Our Lives spoilers from Carlivati acknowledged that they have a romantic history. He wouldn’t say what the future holds several months down the road. However, he did ponder if those romantic feelings would surface at a later time.
“Knowing that there is this other history with them, you have to wonder if that is going to come back to the surface.”
There are mixed reactions to Eric and Jennifer possibly rekindling a romance. Some didn’t like them together, but others thought they were a good match. One thing is for sure, fans would like to see both characters in love, but whether that is with each other or not is up for debate.
They did try dating briefly when Eric was released from prison and came back to Salem. However, Jennifer quickly realized that he had feelings for Nicole. That is when she walked away from the relationship. There is no telling for sure where their storylines will go. However, before Eric attempts to get into any kind of relationship, with Jennifer or someone else, he needs time to grieve over losing Nicole.
