‘Counting On’ Stars Jinger Duggar And Jeremy Vuolo Continue To Rebel Against Strict Family Rules
Jinger Duggar is often called the family rebel because she wears pants, shorts, and heels. Plus, she has yet to announce a pregnancy nearly a year into her marriage. However, it seems her biggest rebellious act was that she married a bad boy. Police once arrested the reality star’s husband after an alcohol-fueled night, and the details are coming out about his party-filled life during college.
According to Radar Online, on January 16, 2008, an officer from the Oneonta Police Department arrested Jeremy Vuolo for harassment against a police officer.
“An intoxicated male who appeared to be a friend of the male that was involved was acting belligerent and shouting obscenities while in front of numerous subjects,” the reporting officer wrote. “Identified later as Jeremy Vuolo.”
The police report states that police told Vuolo to calm down several times, but for some reason, he walked up to an officer and grabbed him by the right arm in a forceful manner. The cops arrested him and took him to the police station where he was booked before being released. His blood alcohol level was 0.13 percent.
Vuolo ended up paying $250 in fines, plus a $95 surcharge. He says that back then he lived life foolishly and was part of the college party scene. He says he isn’t perfect, but he has taken responsibility for his actions.
The Hollywood Gossip reports that Vuolo and his wife are living life their own way and aren’t clones of Duggar’s parents. Even though they still subscribe to the patriarchal family structure, where a wife is subservient to her husband, Vuolo allows his wife to do things she wasn’t able to do growing up. This is why she isn’t always wearing skirts and long dresses, and she also gets to give her opinion without a man asking for it.
Even though the Vuolo’s are doing things differently, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are giving the couple their full support and are happy that the two are “pushing out on their own.” Living life on their own terms isn’t an attack on Jinger’s parents; they are simply their own people.
Some believe the two are using birth control, which is why they have yet to announce they are expecting a baby. Unlike her three sisters Jill, Jessa, and Joy-Anna, Jinger has made it through almost an entire year of marriage with no pregnancy announcement.
