Feud? Jennifer Hudson Allegedly Slams Miley Cyrus’ Engagement Joke At ‘The Voice’
Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus appear to have been getting along pretty well in front of the cameras during the currently airing Season 13 of The Voice, but could there actually be a nasty feud brewing between the two pop superstars behind the scenes?
Miley and Jennifer allegedly haven’t been getting along too well backstage at the NBC show as sources are claiming that things recently reached a boiling point between the twosome after Cyrus made a joke about Hudson’s longstanding engagement to fiancé David Otunga.
According to reports, Miley recently made a playful joke about Jennifer’s long engagement to the former pro-wrestler (he proposed to her almost a decade ago in 2008) while the coaches were backstage at The Voice – but it sounds like her playful quip didn’t exactly go over too well with the “Spotlight” singer.
Rather than laughing along, insiders alleged that Hudson had a very stern response to the “Malibu” singer’s jab.
“Jennifer looked Miley right in the eye and told her to never mention her private life again, or even say David’s name,” a source told Life & Style of how Hudson supposedly reacted to her comments.
“Jennifer just isn’t someone who jokes around,” they then added of the star, hinting that a possible feud may be brewing between the two after they started sitting alongside each other on Season 13 when the most recent round of The Voice debuted on NBC last month.

Notably, both Jennifer and Miley are have been enjoying some pretty lengthy engagements.
While Otunga proposed to Hudson in September 2008, Cyrus first became engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth in June 2012. They then split in September 2013 but reunited again in early 2016, shortly after which Cyrus was spotted wearing her engagement ring again.
Amid much speculation, during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2016, Miley then confirmed that she and Liam were once again engaged after reconciling a few months earlier.
Jennifer also headed to the daytime talk show to discuss her relationship with her fiancé, admitting in April of this year that she’s not in a rush to head down the aisle, despite getting engaged nine years ago.
When asked why she’s not yet married during the interview, Jennifer candidly told Ellen that she’s “not in a hurry” to become a wife.
“He’s not going anywhere,” she then added of David, who’s the father of her 8-year-old son, David Jr.
Hudson and Cyrus haven’t yet commented on reports suggesting there could be tension brewing between them on The Voice set amid the feud hints, though if the claims are to be believed, the duo, fortunately, won’t have to sit alongside one another much longer on the talent search show.

NBC has confirmed that neither Jennifer nor Miley will be returning to the show in 2018 for Season 14.
Instead, both will be vacating their red spinning chairs to make room for Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys, who will be heading to the talent search next year alongside Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
The Voice Season 13 airs on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights.
