Emma Stone Joins Ben Affleck And Scarlett Johansson In Dating SNL Member After Ex-Boyfriend Andrew Garfield
Something must be in the water for people working on Saturday Night Live. So far, three people associated with SNL have snagged Hollywood A-listers as girlfriends or boyfriends. SNL producer Lindsay Shookus is dating Ben Affleck, “Weekend Update” anchor Colin Jost is dating Scarlett Johansson, and now, Emma Stone is dating director Dave McCary. Maybe, it’s time for the media outlets to keep a closer eye on the rest of the SNL cast.
Love sparked again in SNL when Emma Stone was caught kissing Dave McCary at an afterparty, according to Page Six. Considering that it has been years since she broke things off with Andrew Garfield, the 28-year-old actress looked like she was ready for romance again.
Dave McCary does not have an Oscar under his belt, but he has been steadily gaining fame in his own way. He has been directing for SNL for three years and has been credited for his work on Brigsby Bear, which rated 80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Emma Stone was seen at the premiere with him.
Like Emma, Dave is also a west coaster, with his alma mater being the University of Southern California. His rise to fame was with his sketch comedy group, Good Neighbors; members of which he met during his college years. Compared to La La Land actress, his success in Hollywood is very minimal, but considering that he wants to make his name as a director, he has a way to go.

Before this dating news broke out, the fans wanted Emma Stone to reunite with her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Garfield. During last year’s award season, when they were both nominated for the acting category, whispers of their reunion gained momentum. The fact that they have been so amicable and loving even after their breakup has confused fans as to why they decided to go their separate ways in the first place.
“They never stopped caring about each other,” a source said to People Magazine. “Even when they split, Emma and Andrew had great love and respect for each other.”

Right now, Andrew Garfield is in the middle of doing a press tour for his upcoming film, Breathe. His performance in the movie is already giving him an Oscar buzz.
“Ultimately, it’s an inspiring story about what’s meaningful in life and how we create lives that are very meaningful,” Andrew said about Breathe. “It’s a film that really has the power to bring people into a more fully realized version of their own existence.”
Despite the fact that he is an award-winning actor, the 34-year-old actor stays humble about his line of work.
“I know it’s not brain surgery or rocket science. I’m not saving lives,” he added. “But there is something very scary, I find in my position, to open up my heart and to be vulnerable in front of thousands of people in a theater or millions of people who are watching a film. Because there are people who are going to be watching going, ‘Oh, I don’t like him. Get him off. Why is he on there?’ That is an inevitability. So it’s how do we feel the fear and step into the fire anyway? How do we do that?”
