‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nelle A Secret Psycho, Will Her Mental Illness Draw Michael Closer?
General Hospital spoilers hint that Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) revelation about Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) mentally unstable past should push Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) away, but instead, it may draw him closer. Curtis is concerned that Nelle might be a danger to Mikey, but the stubborn young CEO won’t listen. Will Curtis turn to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and fill them in on the news about Nelle’s psycho past? This Nelle plot is about to take an unexpected twist.
Nelle’s not liked but should she be feared?
Many GH fans feel about Nelle the way Carly does. They flat out don’t like her. Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) is also on the “hate Nelle” train. Sonny has cautioned his wife over and over not to push Michael too hard about Nelle, or she’ll alienate him. This comes up again when Nelle’s stint in a mental health facility is revealed. This revelation sparks new concerns from the Corinthos clan about Michael’s involvement with her and how to move forward without pushing their son away.
General Hospital spoilers from She Knows Soaps reveal that Michael confronts Nelle about her time in a mental health facility. This will be problematic for the young couple since Nelle felt like Michael really accepted her and was ready to move forward with her. The underlying question is whether Nelle is misunderstood or malicious? She was accused of killing her fiance, Zack, and now it turns out she was a good swimmer and maybe could have saved him. Plus, she kept her engagement ring.

Michael’s a sucker for a troublesome woman
Poor Michael has the worst luck with women. He liked Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) but thought she was his cousin, and by the time he found out the truth, she was hitched to Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). She bounced back and forth but ultimately chose Morgan and is now with his cousin, Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins). Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) was murdered by the General Hospital serial killer. Do you remember Abby Haver? That girlfriend was hit by a crane, and she died.
GH spoilers and history tell us that Michael is drawn to people that need to be helped or fixed. That’s Nelle in a nutshell. No doubt after Michael confronts Nelle, she’ll have a sob story to tell him, and then will pull her usual stunt of acting wounded and standoffish. Soap Central spoilers say Michael demands answers and then he backs down again and lets Nelle stay in his life. It seems that Michael is in over his head with Nelle, and it’s worse than any previous girlfriend.
To Carly, she's a black widow. To Michael, Nelle's a bright, shining light. What do you think? An all-new #GH starts NOW on ABC! pic.twitter.com/B9Q0O5nH5Q

Nelle and Morgan – same problems?
General Hospital spoilers hint that one way Nelle can turn the tables on the accusations about her mental health is to play the “Morgan card.” Michael loved his brother Morgan, but Morgan was a mental mess. The youngest Corinthos son spent time in an institution for his bipolar disorder and did some outrageous things while in a bipolar spiral, even swapping Michael’s allergy drugs so that their baby sister Avery Corinthos was nearly injured. Michael forgave Morgan for all of that.
Wouldn’t Michael be a hypocrite if he wasn’t sympathetic to Nelle’s mental health problems? The same goes for Bobbie and Carly. It won’t be too long before they learn that Nelle was institutionalized. Of course, they will want to use that info to get Michael to dump Nelle, but that will make them look really bad in his eyes. How could Carly and Bobbie love and forgive Morgan for his bad deeds because of his bipolar disorder and not be sympathetic to Nelle’s impairment?
But something is brewing with Nelle. She might, in fact, be a scheming villain out to destroy lives. Or she might be an innocent victim. Is Michael in danger? This unfolds in November sweeps, along with the big reveal of the two Jasons in the same room this Friday, Andre’s role in the Q twin twist, plus how to sort out who is Jason and who is Drew.
