‘NCIS’ Season 15: Mark Harmon Saved By Maria Bello’s Arrival After Concerns Of Alleged Frail Condition?
Mark Harmon’s health instantly became a hot topic after fans noticed that the beloved actor was looking extra thin in NCIS Season 14. As if concerns about his alleged frail condition are not enough, rumors about him leaving the hit CBS series have started to swirl as well.
Being one of the lead stars of NCIS since day one, the presence of Mark Harmon (Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs) has definitely added to the success of the show. But if rumors are to be believed, then all good things must certainly come to an end.
An earlier report claimed that NCIS Season 15 could be the last installment for Mark Harmon after his “heart attack nightmare.” The same report also revealed that the Certain Prey actor may be following Pauley Perrette and David McCallum’s exit.
Mark Harmon will be the first one to admit that he doesn’t have the power to know what the future lies for NCIS. But just as long as he can still star in the hit CBS series, he will still be a part of it.
Despite his alleged frail condition, Mark Harmon officially returned to NCIS Season 15 as Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs. But with the actor being in his mid-60s at the moment, his age might possibly limit his participation in the series.

Meanwhile, Mark Harmon’s fate on NCIS was seemingly confirmed by Maria Bello’s arrival. Earlier reports revealed that although their characters will have a rocky start, they will eventually form a special bond.
With this newly added concept of Mark Harmon’s character, it just goes to show that his purpose is still certainly far from over. Although the addition of Maria Bello’s character, Jack Sloane, will definitely add more spice to Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ life, her arrival is not the main reason why the actor is still a part of NCIS Season 15.

The truth of the matter is that Mark Harmon is still under contract. However, if he is indeed suffering from a serious illness like previous reports claimed, there is a high chance that changes in the script could be done for him to get an earlier break.
Mark Harmon has yet to comment on his alleged health issues.
