New FBI Documents Reveal Sandy Hook Shooter Had ‘Pedophilic’ Interest In Kids, Methodically Planned Attack

Unsealed FBI documents from the tragic Sandy Hook massacre have been released and the results are both surprising and disturbing.

As many will recall, 20-year-old Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School on a cold December morning in 2012 and fired shots at a class full of students. According to CNN, Lanza’s horrific actions claimed 26 lives, which included 20 children. Prior to the shooting spree, Lanza shot his own mother as she laid in bed at their Connecticut home.

Today, more than 1,500 pages of new documents were released by the FBI and the files are revealing that Lanza may have been more disturbed than many originally thought. The FBI’s findings show that Adam Lanza once showed a sexual and pedophilic interest in children, though he never acted on it, according to ABC News.

Though the behavioral analysis portion of the papers did not show that Lanza had a sexual interest in children, another portion of the documents claims that an unidentified woman told authorities that Adam had once said that adult-child sexual relationships could be beneficial to all parties involved.

Furthermore, the NY Post reports that a file found on Lanza’s computer was described as “advocating pedophiles’ rights and the liberation of children.” Another document on his computer was a bizarre screenplay which followed the relationship of a 10-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man.

CNN reports that the unidentified woman made contact with Adam over the internet in 2010, just two years before Lanza’s deadly attack. Not only did the woman claim that Lanza was one of the weirdest people that she had ever been in contact with, but she also went on to say that the 20-year-old was obsessed with mass killings and devoted nearly all of his online time to researching and discussing mass shootings.

The documents also showed the woman describing Lanza as an “extremely” intelligent person who just had depression issues and a negative view of the world. The shooter was also known to sleep for long hours while avoiding the sun. According to the FBI docs, natural daylight hurt his eyes.

In 2011, Lanza began methodically planning his deadly attack, according to ABC News. This means that he didn’t just snap one day, but he was careful in his planning. Additionally, the documents showed that Adam shared many similar characteristics with past active shooters.
