There are many different rumors that come about regarding Walt Disney World and what may or may not take place at the parks and resorts, but this one is interesting. A bit of speculation has started going around that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is going to hold a pirate party sometime soon, but Disney has yet to say anything official about it. If it is indeed going to happen, they’d better speak up quickly as the proposed date is this week.
According to Orlando Theme Park News , guests are going to be invited to what is being referred to as a “ Polynesian Pirate Party ” on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017. It is set to be held at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and it is going to take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
“…Polynesian Pirate Party, where treasure, grub, and a swashbuckling good time awaits them!”
That sounds like an incredibly good time, but it is only a couple of days away and Disney hasn’t said anything about it at all. This could end up being a free-for-all party for anyone that wants to attend or it could be something that tickets are sold for, but there’s really no way of knowing as nothing has been confirmed at all.
Disney Dining has a great point that there are no real details released except for what has been rumored to be “various pirate entertainment.” The only issue is that Disney hasn’t said anything official which makes it seem like this rumored party might not end up happening at all.
Then again, it could just be something taking place at the Polynesian Village Resort on Tuesday afternoon, and if you happen to stop by during those hours, lucky you.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort held a similar pirate party back in 2015, but nothing has happened with it since. It’s possible that the Polynesian could hold a similar party, but they may not make a big deal out of it so they can see if the first one is a success.
The Contemporary does have the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage , but that is an additional cost.
Rumors can sometimes end up as nothing more than speculation and they may not end up coming true, but that’s the way at Walt Disney World and everywhere. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort already has a lot of fun to enjoy with the Spirit of Aloha dinner show and so much more, but a pirate party? For the time being, Disney hasn’t said anything about this party so it may end up being nothing, but if you’re there on Tuesday, be on the lookout for some pirates.
