KFC’s Twitter Account Follows Only 11 Random People For The Most Epic Reason Imaginable
The social media accounts of companies are there to promote their business, but they can often be quite sassy and even overly sarcastic. It has been seen with the Twitter accounts of Wendy’s and McDonald’s and Taco Bell, but KFC has quietly joined in on things in possibly the best way imaginable. While the Twitter account of Kentucky Fried Chicken didn’t go off on anyone, people have started realizing why the profile only follows 11 people and it is absolutely epic.
When you look at the accounts that many businesses follow, they usually belong to executives or to people related to their line of work. Well, Lad Bible noticed that the KFC account on Twitter only follows 11 others and they may seem quite weird when you first look at them.
Upon checking out the accounts being followed by KFC on Twitter, here are five of them:
- Geri Horner – Ginger Spice
- Melanie Brown – Scary Spice
- Emma Bunton – Baby Spice
- Melanie C – Sporty Spice
- Victoria Beckham – Posh Spice
Yes, KFC is following all five Twitter accounts of the Spice Girls, but that’s not all. There are six others and they are all guys named “Herb.” Yes, five verified accounts of guys who have the first name of Herb and the Spice Girls for a grand total of — 11 Herbs and Spices.
.@KFC follows 11 people.
Those 11 people? 5 Spice Girls and 6 guys named Herb.
11 Herbs & Spices. I need time to process this.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is known for its famous recipe that has 11 herbs and spices which have never been confirmed, but there are rumors flying around as to what they actually are. People Food threw out the fantastic recipe that is rumored to make KFC’s fried chicken so good, and it is:
- 2/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/3 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried mustard
- 4 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 teaspoons white pepper
There are your 11 herbs and spices that are rumored to make KFC’s miraculous chicken so tasty and so addicting. The only thing that could possibly be better than that recipe is finding out that KFC’s Twitter follows six random guys named Herb and the five Spice Girls.
It may be needless to say, but the internet lost its mind when this revelation started making its way around social media.

Even Wendy’s had to give KFC credit for this one.
Just realized they weren’t following back.
Rude.
Good joke though.— Wendy’s (@Wendys) October 20, 2017
You really have to applaud KFC on this one as they took one of the simplest things on social media and turned it into something incredibly buzzworthy. Kentucky Fried Chicken may pride themselves on their tasty chicken with its 11 herbs and spices, but today, the focus is on the joke they pulled over on the entire internet. When you follow the five Spice Girls and six random guys named Herb, the world would likely look at you in a strange fashion…unless you’re The Colonel.
