Next month, WWE will hold its annual Survivor Series pay-per-view event, and things are going to get kicked off tonight when Jinder Mahal makes a huge announcement. It has been confirmed that the current WWE Champion is ready to say something big, but no one has an exact idea as to what that may be. There are rumors floating around, though, and it appears as if Mahal is actually going to call out Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for a match.
Mahal shocked the world when he won the title, and he’s since successfully defended it against Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, and others. The Modern Day Maharaja is ready to take on any challengers, but does he really want to face off against the “Beast Incarnate”?
According to the official website of WWE, Mahal is ready to reveal “some big news for his plans” at Survivor Series which will take place on November 19. He has been able to defend his title and prove that he deserves to be the champion for Team Blue, but Mahal may want to show he is more than that.
Jinder Mahal may very well want to show everyone that he is the best superstar in all of WWE and that was proven on Monday when the official preview for SmackDown was revealed.
During a recent press tour of India, Mahal made a number of references to wanting to fight superstars from Monday Night Raw . Some of those he specifically name-dropped were Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and he could offer up a challenge to one of them tonight.
According to Sportskeeda , Mahal is going to propose a Champion vs. Champion Match when he makes his announcement tonight on SmackDown Live . The titles aren’t expected to be on the line, but the rumor is that Mahal will reveal he wants to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series .
It has been rumored that WWE is looking to make a number of Raw vs. SmackDown matches for this year’s Survivor Series , and it will all start with this one. While it is possible that this could change, everything points to this huge challenge being made this evening.
There is also the possibility that Mahal may make a challenge to have a traditional elimination-style tag match with him leading a Team Blue and Lesnar leading a Team Red.
For now, all of this needs to be taken as speculation since rumors have been known to be wrong in the past. Still, it will be interesting to see just how this leads into Survivor Series and if Jinder Mahal makes a one-on-one or tag team challenge to Brock Lesnar and Monday Night Raw . Either way, this is making for a lot of chatter on social media and will likely lead to a lot more viewers tuning into SmackDown Live .
