Kate Winslet And Ned Rocknroll Get Married In Secret Ceremony
Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll were married earlier this month in a secret ceremony in New York.
One of the Titanic star’s representatives confirmed the news to E! Online. The rep said that it was a very small ceremony that was “attended by her two children and a very few friends and family.”
The guest list was so small that Kate and Ned’s parents weren’t even invited. Winslet didn’t have her father standing at her side when she said her “I dos” to Ned but according to TheSun, she had another leading man standing in his place.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who starred alongside Winslet in Titanic, gave the bride away during the small ceremony.
A source told The Sun:
“Kate and Ned got married in a really romantic and private ceremony. They had been planning it for a while. They are both so happy and very much in love. Kate is very private and didn’t want anyone to know. She asked if Leo would give her away because they are best friends.”
This is Winslet’s 3rd marriage. The 37-year-old Oscar winner was previously married to Jim Threapleton and director Sam Mendes. She had one child, her 12-year-old daughter Mia, with Threapleton and another child, her 9-year-old son Joe with Mendes.
Rocknroll, real name Abel Smith, is a nephew of billionaire Richard Branson.
