‘My Hero Academia’ Season 3 Production Started, Confirms Bones Anime Panel At Machi Asobi 2017
The production of the anime My Hero Academia Season 3 has already begun according to a statement from the staff of Japanese studio Bones. Based on the Boku no Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi, the anime is expected to release in 2018 and slowly the details are coming out.
The initial announcement of My Hero Academia Season 3 came through the anime end card. Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed that production of the third season was in the planning stages but did not specify the year for the premiere. English dub house Funimation jumped the gun on their Twitter page by saying it would come out in 2018, but until now there was no official confirmation that was possible.
Reports from the Bones panel at the Machi Asobi anime event in Japan are saying that Bones president Masahiko Minami spoke about MHA Season 3. According to Gigazine, he revealed that Bones Studio C has already begun production of the third season, but did not specify how many episodes there will be in Boku no Hero Academia Season 3. The staff will announce more information about the new anime season at an unspecified time.
Studio A is working on the A.I.C.O. Incarnation anime for Netflix, which will have 12 episodes and be released in the spring of 2018 worldwide. Studio B is currently airing the Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond anime. Studio D is producing a new anime movie called Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple that will open in Japan the early spring of 2018. Studio E continues to work on the film trilogy for the Eureka Seven: Hi – Evolution anime series.
The big surprise was that Bones teased audiences about an upcoming October announcement that is apparently related to Mob Psycho 100 Season 2. There’s also a new original anime in the works for the spring of 2018 and the anime studio plans on announcing the title during December of 2017.
When Will My Hero Academia Season 3 Release?
Based on the history of the anime, the third season of My Hero Academia might start airing during the spring 2018 anime season, which begins in April. The story of the manga is far ahead of the anime so it’s possible MHA Season 3 will be 25 episodes, or two cours, again. (This information has not been confirmed and should be considered predictions.)
Assuming the story continues to follow the manga, the anime will begin during a school trip to the mountains where Deku and friends learn to power up their quirks. But the League of Villains invades the training camp with an elite squad called the Vanguard Action Squad.
