Jennie Garth On Dating Luke Perry: It ‘Might Be Weird’

Jennie Garth thinks it would be weird to date her former co-star Luke Perry. In other words, don’t expect to find a real-life Dylan and Kelly pairing any time in the near future.

The 40-year-old actress does admit to sharing a close relationship with Perry. Both actors rose to stardom in the wildly popular television series Beverly Hills 90210. Over a ten year span fans of the series watched their characters Dylan McKay and Kelly Taylor as they battled the ins and outs of love.

According to the Daily Mail, the TV starlet found comfort in her friendship with Perry following the decision to end her 11 year marriage. The actress revealed earlier this year that her relationship with husband Peter Facinelli was ending in divorce. Facinelli, also an actor, has most recently been seen in the wildly successful Twilight saga.

The actress’ divorce has brought about speculation of a possible romantic relationship between the 90210 cohorts. Garth and Perry have remained friends throughout the years and even spend time hanging out together. But according to Garth, that’s as far as it goes.

An article in US Weekly writes that the former 90210 blondie is quick to squash rumors. When asked about the subject Garth answered with an amusing response:

“No! We’re just really close friends. I love him so much, dating him might be weird!”

Fans of the 90210 duo still have a spot of good news to soak up. The actors are in talks play opposite each other in an upcoming TV series. The show is still in its development stage according to Garth:

“It’s probably not going to be a sitcom, but we’re in the creative process right now, and I’m very excited about it. We’re going to start having our creative meetings with writers and producers in the new year.”
