Newtown, CT – Nancy Lanza allegedly battled with the Newtown school district before making the decision to homeschool Adam. A relative allegedly told the Daily Mail that the Sandy Hook shooter’s mother was angry with education officials for “failing her son.”
Nancy allegedly pleaded for better services for her youngest child, but was supposedly turned away multiple times prompting her choice to educate the young man at home. The mother allegedly felt that her son was an extremely intelligent boy but that he was left socially awkward and isolated due to having Asperger’s Syndrome. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Adam Lanza had been monitored closely by staff when he was enrolled at Newtown High School.
The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter was reportedly pulled out of the school when he was 16 and began taking college courses on a part-time basis. Marsha Lanza, Nancy’s sister-in-law had this to say about the school shooter during the interview:
“She pulled Adam out of school because she didn’t feel they knew what to do with him. She really battled with the district to get help for him. She wanted more services for her son. He was an exceptionally bright kid but she felt his needs weren’t being met so she said ‘screw them.’ “
Marsha Lanza is concerned for the safety of her five children and wanted the public to know that Adam Lanza’s relatives may share a surname but did not have anything to do with the horrific school massacre, the Huffington Post reports.
Law enforcement investigators and the coroner are reportedly reviewing Adam Lanza’s medical records to see if any medication had been prescribed to him for any type of psychiatric condition.
Former director of security for the Newtown School District Richard Novia noted that in 2007 Adam Lanza was completely the opposite in personality to man he would ultimately become. Novia had this to say about the Newtown school shooter:
“At that point in his life, he posed no threat to anyone else. We were worried about him being the victim or that he could hurt himself.”
