Honey Boo Boo Holiday Photo Shows Wild New Hairstyle For Young Reality Star
The Honey Boo Boo holiday photo is out, and the not-so-average family delivered with a very unconventional Christmas photo.
The photo, which hit a number of media outlets this week, shows Honey Boo Boo with wild neon-green hair extensions. The TLC reality show family took some time out to head town to Smiley’s Flea Market and Yard Sale in their hometown of Macon, Georgia, to get the picture this past weekend, Us Weekly reported.
The Honey Boo Boo holiday photo puts the family in direct competition with another famous reality show clan, the Kardashians. The Kardashian-Jenner family is known for their annual Christmas photo.
The photo shows 7-year-old Alaina Thompson decked out in a red-and-black plaid dress and wearing some bright neon-green hair extensions along with the rest of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo clan — Mama June Shannon, dad Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, and sisters Lauryn (Pumpkin, 12), Jessica (Chubbs, 15), and Anna (Chickadee, 17), along with her baby Kaitlyn.
The Honey Boo Boo holiday card showed the family all together and seemingly recovered from a major health crisis earlier this year. Sugar Bear nearly lost his leg after a freak ATV accident.
Perez reported that Honey Boo Boo’s dad underwent surgery to remove infected tissue from the injuries he suffered during the accident, and after that there was a wait-and-see period before they found out if he would be able to keep the leg. He still wound up spending a number of days in the hospital.
The Honey Boo Boo holiday photo could be a sign of things to come for the family, E! News noted. TLC has picked up additional episodes of the show, including a Christmas special set to air February 17.
