Jenna Dewan: Channing Tatum’s Wife Pregnant With Couple’s First Child
Channing Tatum’s wife is pregnant with the couple’s first child, fulfilling the desires they had expressed to start a family together.
Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan, confirmed the pregnancy on Monday. Representatives for the couple told People magazine that the 32-year-old Dewan is set to give birth next year.
The pregnancy likely comes as a joy to Channing Tatum and his wife. After being married in 2009, he told People recently that he is ready to start having kids.
“I’m ready; I think she’s ready,” Tatum said recently. “The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we’ll see where we go after that.”
He also admitted that he had to sell his wife on the idea of a big family.
“It’s really easy for us guys to say, ‘I want like 15 kids,’ ” he noted. “Jenna will be like, ‘Well you better get another wife!’ ”
News that Channing Tatum’s wife is pregnant caps off a great year for the 32-year-old actor. Named People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in November, the actor had a strong year at the box office including the semi-autobiographical Magic Mike.
The couple met in 2006 on the set of Step Up and began dating shortly afterward, the Daily Mail noted. They got engaged two years later in Hawaii and were married on the grounds of Church Estates Vineyards in California in July 2009.
