Kelly Clarkson Engaged: ‘American Idol’ Singer Announces Engagement To Brandon Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson is engaged.

The 30-year-old singer recently announced that she was getting married to Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson wrote on Twitter:

“I’M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever:)”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Clarkson and Blackstock have been dating since February 2012. Blackstock is the son of Clarkson’s manager, Narvel Blackstock and the stepson of country singer Reba McEntire.

Clarkson, a former American Idol champ, was recently nominated for a Grammy.

Clarkson joked to People Magazine that her love life, and her Grammy nomination, had put her in such a happy place that she was finding it hard to write new songs. Clarkson said: (It’s) ruining my creativity. (I’m) writing all this happy (stuff now.)”

So when will the wedding be? Clarkson told Ellen Degeneres earlier this year that she would probably elope. Of course, that was before she was engaged to get married. Regardless, Clarkson’s wedding will probably be a small affair.
