A new teaser photo for Longmire Season 6 offers a glimpse into one of the mind-boggling questions on viewers’ mind, as the Netflix drama approaches its final season on air. The question of “Will they or won’t they?” involves Walt (Robert Taylor) and Vic (Katee Sackhoff), who undeniably share an intense chemistry as partners and friends, but have yet to explore a romantic relationship together.

Actor and writer A Martinez shared a telling photo of Walt and Vic from Longmire Season 6 on his Instagram page. According to Martinez, the said photo was the “last sequence shot” for the upcoming season of the Netflix series.

While many fans were pleased to see another Longmire Season 6 update in the form of a photo, several fans were disheartened by what they saw in the photo and what they think the photo meant. Several fans interpreted that Walt seemingly had this longing look on his face while he was watching Vic leave. Martinez’s hashtag, #TheYearning, further strengthened speculations that Vic and Walt won’t get their happy ending.

Those who have been closely following Longmire are aware that Walt and Vic never seemed to find the right time for each other – either Walt was committed to someone while Vic was single and vice versa. While such is the case, many fans continue to hold out hope that these two will get their happily ever after on Season 6.

Since Longmire is based on Craig Johnson’s books, many fans believe that Walt and Vic will be together by the end of Season 6 since it is exactly how their relationship ends in the books. However, TV shows based on books do not necessarily follow every detail, so many fans are worried that they won’t see a satisfying conclusion for these two.
