Tamra has shared the painful struggle she endured when her daughter, Sidney, chose to live with her father Simon Barney and completely stopped communicating with her mother. Younger son Spencer chose to remain with his mother and ceased corresponding with his father. While the estranged couple shares custody of all three of their children, it was recognized that the siblings could decide where they felt most comfortable living. This made for a painful familial situation, and Tamra revealed on the RHOC reunion that she was deeply hurting from her daughter’s rejection.

Seeking the assistance of renowned physician Dr. Ambe, who previously worked on her mother, she has revealed that she is very pleased with the results. She was pursuing a natural look that would enhance her obvious beauty.
