Possible TWD spoilers and theories are ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what could happen when new episodes of the TV show air on AMC.
When The Walking Dead returns, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group will be preparing for war. In Robert Kirkman’s comic books, Alexandria wins the battle with some help from one of the Saviors, Dwight. Based on the events of the second half of Season 6, it seems that Austin Amelio’s character might follow the comic book storyline.
Negan is not killed during the war, even though Rick tries to end his life. He survives and fans are assuming that in the television show, he will live. However, Negan might have some problems at the Sanctuary before the war is over and it just might help Alexandria achieve victory and independence.
According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, there is a rumor that the Saviors are not pleased with Negan’s leadership. The tidbit could not be confirmed, at least not yet. However, if it is accurate, then it will be an interesting turn of events. Apparently, Negan kills one of his men and the Saviors are not happy about this. Becoming dissatisfied with his leadership style, it is possible that some of the Saviors may turn against Negan.
Some fans are wondering if Dwight wanting to help Alexandria is genuine or a trick. It seems that he might be sincere. Filming reports tease that Dwight and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) have been seen together on set. After learning Dwight and Sherry’s (Christine Evangelista) story on The Walking Dead, it is understandable why Dwight hates Negan so much.
Will the Saviors begin to turn against Negan in TWD? Could Rick’s army grow with soldiers from the Sanctuary that want a different life? Could this be a factor in how Alexandria defeats the enemy?
