‘TWD’ Spoilers: Jesus Gets A Boyfriend In Comics, Will Two Fan-Favorites Get Together On TV, Too?
The Walking Dead TV show is based on the comic books by Robert Kirkman. Sometimes, the storylines mirror one another, but other time something else happens in the series. According to MoviePilot, Jesus (Tom Payne) was given a boyfriend in the comics. It is someone that fans know well. Could these two also have a relationship on the television show?
TWD spoilers might be ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what could happen when the series returns this fall.
On The Walking Dead, Jesus is a fan-favorite character. His sexual orientation was the subject of many debates after he first appeared. Last season, during a conversation with Maggie (Lauren Cohan), the truth was revealed.
In the comic books, Jesus has been given a boyfriend and it just happens to be Aaron, who is portrayed by Ross Marquand on the television show. What are the chances these two could get together in future seasons?
If it does happen, the romance won’t be playing on television screens at the beginning of The Walking Dead Season 8. Last time the show was on, Aaron was still with Eric, who is alive and well. However, in the zombie apocalypse, people die every single day. So, for those rooting for Jesus and Aaron to get together, it might happen someday.
In the comic books, Eric is killed during the war between Alexandria and the Saviors. Sometimes the show deviates from the comics, but it was teased that many people will die in the fight against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). In recent seasons, the show has been staying on target with what happens in the comics, so Eric’s death is a real possibility.
The romance between Jesus and Aaron shouldn’t come as too big of a shock to those who read the comics. It has been building up for a long time. In issue #169, Jesus finally lets Rick Grimes know about the relationship.
What do you think of Jesus and Aaron getting together in the TWD comic books? Would you like to see the two fan-favorite characters have a romance in The Walking Dead TV show, too?
