Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Engagement: ‘Suits’ Actress Checks Out Wedding Dresses

Suits actress Meghan Markle was reportedly looking at bridal gowns on a recent shopping trip in Canada, fueling rumors of her engagement to Prince Harry.

The 35-year-old actress was supposedly shopping for an evening dress with friends in Canada when she decided to try on wedding gowns for fun. According to The Sun, all of Markle’s friends “thought she looked gorgeous” in the bridal gowns she wore.

One of Markle’s choices was a traditional wedding gown with strapless bodice from Toronto-based designer Paloma Blanca. She also liked a two-piece number from the same designer but joked that having an exposed midriff might go against royal protocol.

“She joked she couldn’t walk down the aisle of Westminster Abbey in it,” the source said and added that the fact that the actress is already thinking about a gown for wedding indicates that marriage is very much on the cards for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The actress recently flew back to Toronto to continue filming Suits Season 7 after spending a 10-day vacation with her royal beau in London. Meanwhile, Prince Harry attended the Sky Try Rugby League Festival at Headingley Carnegie Stadium as part of his new role as the patron of the Rugby Football League.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the subject of engagement rumors ever since they publicly confirmed their relationship in November last year. Markle’s Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams said the actress is “so happy” with Prince Harry.

Echoing Adams’ statement, an insider told E! News that the couple is “in an extremely solid and happy place at the moment” but aren’t rushing things or “making rash decisions.” Markle is reportedly thinking about moving to London to be closer to Harry.

“But, yes, they love each other very much and neither could imagine being without the other. They speak about the future a lot, whether it’s getting each other’s take on future career plans or where they’ll be as a couple.”

Talk about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding also revealed rumors about Camilla Parker Bowles, Harry’s stepmother, not giving the relationship her seal of approval.

According to Yahoo, the Duchess of Cornwall reportedly met with Markle when she was in Toronto for an official tour. A source claimed that Bowles discouraged Markle from marrying Prince Harry and warned that she would make life difficult for the actress if ever they do tie the knot.

“She’s long thought Meghan isn’t good enough for Harry and told her that she’s not welcome in the royal family,” the source revealed. Prince Harry’s stepmother is allegedly not very fond of the American actress and doesn’t like the fact that she’s a divorcee.

Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, also reportedly denied his request to marry Markle. The royal, who is fifth in line to the British throne, is devastated by the decision and is now faced with the dilemma to choose between love and his country.

There are rumors that he might choose to retire from his royal duties and live life as a commoner if that’s what it takes to be with Markle. This follows Prince Harry’s controversial statement in an interview with Newsweek.

“Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.”

Despite Queen Elizabeth’s alleged disapproval, Prince Harry has the full support of his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

“They’ve never seen him as happy as he is with Meghan and they’ve made it very clear to him that they support him and his relationship,” a source told Hollywood Life.

Meanwhile, Suits Season 7 will premiere on July 12 on USA Network.
