Milo Yiannopoulos Suing Publisher, Blames Liberal Celebs Like Judd Apatow For Losing Book Deal
Former Breitbart writer Milo Yiannopoulos has filed a lawsuit against publishing house Simon & Schuster for refusing to follow through and publish his memoir, and he’s claiming that Simon & Schuster changed their minds about publishing his life story after celebs from the left applied pressure.
Milo Yiannopoulos says that Simon & Schuster knew what they were getting when they agreed to publish his book, Dangerous. He claims S&S knew he was an outspoken and edgy Breitbart columnist and right-leaning gay blogger, and they fully embraced that persona.
But Milo claims that things went bad after he spoke out about priests having sex with boys and defended pedophilia. He quickly resigned from Breitbart, and two days later, he claims that Simon & Schuster dropped him saying that his book was unacceptable. Yiannopoulos has railed against those from the left trying to squelch his right to free speech, and he claims this is one more example. The video that surfaced had Milo Yiannopoulos saying that people are way too hung up on incidences in which children and adults have sex.
“In the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men — the sort of ‘coming of age’ relationship — those relationships in which those older men help those young boys discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable, sort of rock, where they can’t speak to their parents.”

Milo Yiannopoulos is now suing Simon & Schuster for $10 million for dropping him and his book, though he admits that they let him keep his advance. He says they got cold feet after the talk of priests and pedophilia. Yiannopoulos added that Simon & Schuster was pushed to drop him by big names in the entertainment industry, including Sarah Silverman, Leslie Jones, and Judd Apatow.
Milo said that Leslie Jones of SNL spoke out publicly, saying that Simon & Schuster was helping Yiannopoulos spread hate speech. Sarah Silverman tweeted that she thought Milo was disgusting, and Judd Apatow reportedly “shamed” Simon & Schuster, claiming they were letting a “hatemonger” get rich.
Milo Yiannopoulos is suing Simon & Schuster for breach of contract, and in response, Simon & Schuster claims this is just another publicity stunt, and if it goes that far, they expect to win in court.

But when Milo Yiannopoulos points fingers at Leslie Jones, he leaves out the campaign he and his followers waged against Jones on Twitter, driving her off of the social media app. As a result of what Twitter called racist and misogynistic behavior by Milo, he was barred from Twitter. Milo and his supporters relentlessly posted negative and racist comments directed at the Twitter account of Leslie Jones after an all female cast debuted in the Ghostbusters movie. It all became too much, and Jones posted on Twitter that it was all too much and she was leaving Twitter.
“I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie.”
A Twitter spokesperson responded that nobody deserves to be abused.
“People should be able to express diverse opinions and beliefs on Twitter. But no one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online, and our rules prohibit inciting or engaging in the targeted abuse or harassment of others.”
Milo Yiannopoulos was then barred from Twitter, and he responded that this was the beginning of the end for the social media application.
“This is the beginning of the end for Twitter.”
