‘Dance Moms’ Mackenzie Ziegler Says, ‘I Wish I Was Never On The Show,’ Calls Abby Lee Miller ‘Crazy’
Mackenzie Ziegler recently went on The Zach Sang Show, where she talked about her new singing projects and, of course, Dance Moms. This is the first time Mackenzie has opened up about her time on the show and former dance coach, Abby Lee Miller, in quite a long time. The 13-year-old singer hasn’t mentioned Miller since she was sentenced to jail, but in this interview, she did acknowledge her without saying her name.
The 13-year-old star recently ran into Abby Lee Miller at the premiere of her sister Maddie Ziegler’s film The Book of Henry, but it is unknown if the pair exchanged any words.
During the interview, the young star dished on her music, saying she’s extremely excited for her upcoming tour with Johnny Orlando. She also said that she’s now taking to writing her own music and not just singing it, which she says is harder but a lot of fun.
Mackenzie Ziegler touched on Dance Moms, saying she didn’t really know what was going on when the show first started, as she was only 6-years-old. The young singer and dancer stated that she doesn’t remember a lot from that time in her life, but does remember lots of cameras and arguing.
In regard to the show, she called Abby Lee Miller “crazy,” saying that she was always comparing her to her older sister, Maddie Ziegler. Mackenzie, however, says that she doesn’t think that was healthy, as she is a totally different person than her sister and should have been treated as such.
Although many argue that Mackenzie Ziegler should always be grateful to Dance Moms and Abby Lee Miller since she and her sister would not be well-known without it, she did express to Zach that sometimes she wishes she was never on the show. Mackenzie cited some of the drama as one of the reasons the show wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.
According to Mackenzie, she often felt nervous and stressed when she went on stage because of the way Abby Lee Miller treated her. She was also scared that people would criticize her dancing skills, something Abby did quite often.
Mackenzie Ziegler has moved on from Dance Moms and is now focusing on her singing career, though the star has recently faced legal woes due to being accused of two-timing a production company.
