Jim Carrey To Be Deposed In Wrongful Death Lawsuit, Seeks Medical Records To Disprove STD Claim

Jim Carrey will give a sworn deposition in the wrongful death lawsuit over his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White’s suicide, and seeks medical records to disprove claims that she had STDs.

It has been two years since actor Jim Carrey’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Cathriona White committed suicide at 30-years-old. White was found in her Los Angeles home with two suicide notes and empty bottles of prescription medication.

Now, the Daily Mail has reported that Jim Carrey will make a sworn deposition in late August in the wrongful death lawsuit following his ex-girlfriend’s suicide.

Jim Carrey’s lawyer vehemently denies that the actor has anything to do with the tragic death, but has now agreed this his client will give a sworn deposition and will answer questions about the suicide.

It is alleged that Carrey provided White with prescription painkillers Ambien, Propranolol, and Percocet, which he had allegedly been prescribed under the pseudonym Arthur King. It is further alleged that Carrey provided White with the medications, despite knowing that she had previously tried to commit suicide, and that she suffered from depression.

Jim Carrey, on the other hand, says that Cathriona White stole the prescription painkillers from him.

Jim Carrey’s legal team had petitioned to have the lawsuit dismissed, but the requests were denied and the trial date has been set for April 26, 2018. A status conference has been set for August 8, with Carrey’s deposition to take place later that month.

The wrongful death lawsuit is being brought by the deceased’s mother and estranged husband, both of whom have been relentless in their insistence that Jim Carrey make a deposition. The lawyer for White’s mother and husband said that they have “asked repeatedly for dates, no less than five or six times.”

“We want his deposition. We want it yesterday.”

It is alleged that Carrey gave White three sexually transmitted diseases: herpes type 1, genital herpes, and chlamydia, and that he had tested positive to those same diseases by submitting to a test under another pseudonym, Jose Lopez.

Irish Central reported that Jim Carrey’s legal team, who are adamant that the actor did not transmit STDs to his then-girlfriend, have requested access to Cathriona White’s medical records, seeking to disprove the allegations. Lawyers for White’s mother and husband claim that the medical records are irrelevant to the matter at hand.
