Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Reunite, Spend 4th Of July With Kids
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were the picture of a happy ex-couple last Tuesday when they spent the Fourth of July together as a family. The former husband-and-wife, who filed for divorce three months ago, watched the Pacific Palisades parade with their three children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, eight, and Samuel, five.
Jen and Ben were photographed smiling and laughing with each other while tending to their kids. They also brought the family’s pet golden retriever along. It was a super chill outing that if not for their very public divorce, one would think that the day was just a regular family activity.
Jennifer wore a tank top with red and white stripes and skinny jeans, while Ben showed off his Batman physique in a casual maroon shirt and faded jeans. Their kids were also dressed in red, white, and blue in keeping with the Independence Day theme.
It has been a while since Jen and Ben were pictured this relaxed and happy with each other’s company. The friendly exes were even snapped sharing a solo moment chatting with each other while sitting under picnic umbrellas.
According to E! News, the Palisades’ Fourth of July Parade is a “family tradition” for the Garner-Affleck household. Jen and Ben want to keep this tradition alive for their children despite their separation.

“Ben will always be there for important family events, and this was no exception. It’s something they all look forward to doing together as a family. They had a great day watching all the street performers and marching bands.”
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck shocked the world when they announced their split in 2015, after 10 years of marriage. Fans were hopeful for a reconciliation, as Ben continued to live in their family mansion after their separation. However, last April, the two officially filed for divorce.
When they were still married, the public applauded them for being a refreshingly down-to-earth, family-oriented Hollywood couple. Now, after their divorce, it is still admirable how they put on a solid front as a family and put their children’s needs first. Just last month, they also took a family vacation in the Bahamas.
Speaking with Today last year, Jennifer described her life after Ben as the new normal.
“We are definitely a modern family. We are doing really well…[Ben] and I are great friends. You don’t have a choice, it has to be.”
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck is all praises for his ex-wife while promoting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Batman actor described Jennifer as a “superhero mom,” E! News reported.
“Parenting is hard work. I certainly do my best, but Jen is a superhero mom. She is an amazing mother, and I’m really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that’s what we do.”
