Jenna Bush Hager Announces Pregnancy On ‘Today’
Jenna Bush Hager announced her pregnancy during a Today show segment on Wednesday. Former President George W. Bush will soon be a proud grandpa. The former first daughter and her husband Henry Hager will be cradling their first little bundle of joy in the spring.
Today host Matt Lauer began with a lead-in about holiday traditions when Savannah Guthrie followed up by teasing the audience that they have an ever larger story to report and asked Jenna Bush Hager if she had any news to report.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the Daily Mail ran an article yesterday afternoon dissecting Hager’s physical appearance and noting that her midsection had thickened. Thankfully, the British tabloid was correct and not merely pointing out that the young woman may have had a few too many cookies this Christmas season.
Jenna Bush Hager had this to say when she announced that she is expecting”
“I’m nervous and so excited to say that Henry and I are pregnant. Or I am pregnant.”
After the daughter of George W. and Laura Bush made her exciting announcement, her husband Henry walked onto the state carrying a bouquet of flowers. Once the flowers and hugs were exchange, it was time to phone the grandparents-to-be and get their thoughts on the new addition to the family. During the phone call the family joked about whether or not the former president would take a turn changing diapers, according to the Washington Post.
Jenna Bush and Henry Hager were married in Crawford, Texas in 2008. Hager is the son of former Virginia Lt. Governor John Hager.
