Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Appear In Public On The Same Night, But Not Together

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes both stepped out into the spotlight on Monday night, marking the first time the pair have both been spotted in public on the same day since their divorce, reports Yahoo News.

Top Gun and Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise stepped out on the infamous red carpet for the premiere of his latest action film Jack Reacher in which he plays a homicide investigator. Flashing his famous smile for fans and media alike in London, this is the 50-year-old actor’s first red carpet appearance since the divorce, keeping himself busy with their daughter Siri and filming the upcoming sci-fi film Oblivion. Tom Cruise has been intentionally staying out of the limelight in recent months, most likely to deal with the divorce that apparently left him feeling devastated.

Batman Begins and Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes emerged in New York City in support of the 2012 Broadway Dreams Foundation “Champagne And Caroling” Gala to mingle with young theater students and watch their performances. An attendee informed People that Katie Holmes appeared excited to be in attendance:

“She was just really happy to be here and felt blessed. She had a genuine happiness about her and was just loving the [theater] environment.”

Katie Holmes left the theater with a smile after posing for pictures with students.

The 33-year-old actress has been busy starring on Broadway alongside two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz in Dead Accounts, a comedy from Pulitzer Prize finalist Theresa Rebeck, to mixed reviews.

Though on opposite sides of the pond, their similar timing has struck a chord since the separation of TomKat.
