On-Ride Photo Shots Coming To Pirates Of The Caribbean In Magic Kingdom Next Week

Walt Disney World is always bringing new and exciting ways for guests to enjoy their trips to the parks, and this is yet another keepsake to cherish forever. A number of park attractions already have cameras placed on them to capture guests in still shots and even video as they laugh, smile, and have looks of fear on their faces. Now, they will always remember what they look like as they sail the waters with Captain Jack Sparrow for a new on-ride photo on Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom.

Beginning on June 19, 2017, one of the oldest attractions in Disney history will get a brand new addition with photo capture. The Disney Parks Blog reported the news on Thursday and revealed that this will be yet another on-ride photo opportunity coming to Walt Disney World.

Disney PhotoPass Service is going to be ready on Monday to capture guests as they head down the waterways in search of treasure and the elusive Captain Jack. By the looks of things, it is going to capture the entire boat which means you never quite know what your shipmates will be doing in your picture.

With the on-ride photo captures, guests always love to search for the camera so they can be ready for it and pose as they wish. After a while, it is pretty easy to figure out where they are, but for Pirates of the Caribbean, this will be a first-time thing.

The Disney Parks Blog gives some interesting hints, though, as to where the Pirates of the Caribbean photo op will take place.

“As you prepare to exit a haunted grotto and dive into the Golden Age of Piracy, a Disney PhotoPass camera will capture the perfect treasure of your swashbuckling voyage. Properly warned ye be, says I!”

That sounds like it will be around the bend from the pirate and mermaid skeletons and catch you when you’re at your most vulnerable — right before you drop down the hill.

In order to preview, purchase, and download the photos taken on Pirates of the Caribbean, all guests must be wearing an active MagicBand linked to their My Disney Experience account. Thanks to technology, the pictures will appear on the MDE app where you can view them and buy them if you wish.

Walt Disney World has a number of attractions with on-ride photo opportunities such as Splash Mountain, Test Track, Dinosaur, Tower of Terror, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and more. Pirates of the Caribbean is already one of the most popular rides in all of Magic Kingdom, and this PhotoPass addition makes it even that much better.
