Blake Shelton Reveals The Bizarre Thing Gwen Stefani Has Planned For His Birthday

Blake Shelton is gearing up to celebrate his 41st birthday on June 18, and it sounds like girlfriend Gwen Stefani may have something pretty planned for her boyfriend of just over a year and a half.

Shelton revealed that Stefani already has something big planned for his big day and even teased that there’s a chance his The Voice co-coach may actually pop out of a birthday cake for the ultimate surprise.

Blake caught up with E! News to dish on how he’s planning to celebrate the big day when he was asked by a reporter if there’s a chance his birthday cake could come with a little Gwen in the filling.

“I hope! Oh my God,” Shelton replied when asked if there’s a possibility Stefani could pop up once he blows out the candles. “I hope so.”

But even if Gwen doesn’t find her way into the cake when Blake turns 41, the “Honey Bee” singer also told the outlet that she already has another sweet surprise planned.

“I’m going to be 41 and I think Gwen has something planned for me,” Shelton told the site of his birthday plans, revealing that Stefani loves to throw parties and celebrate big milestones with her friends and family.

“She’s real big on if there’s something going on in your life she wants to make it special,” Blake said of his girlfriend. “I think they’re going to have some kind of a party.”

Blake’s big confession comes shortly after Shelton gushed about the former No Doubt singer during an appearance on The Today Show where he described the mom of three as being his best friend while also revealing that the two are pretty happy with how things are right now in their relationship.

“I’m real good with her. We’re just content and happy and it’s just, it’s an incredible feeling,” Shelton said when asked about his romance with Stefani, which is thought to be his first serious relationship since he divorced former wife Miranda Lambert in 2015 and their split became the butt of more than a few jokes.

“Our hobby is just hanging out together, you know? She’s my best friend,” Blake continued of Gwen, who recently showed her love for the country star by wearing shoes with his face printed on them.

Blake then sweetly claimed that being in Gwen’s “vicinity” is “unbelievable,” adding that she builds up his ego with her sweet words and constant encouragement.

Shelton’s sweet words come after Stefani revealed last month that she’ll continue to encourage her man over the coming months despite the announcement that she will not be continuing with The Voice for Season 13.

After appearing alongside Blake on Season 12, it was confirmed last month that Gwen would be leaving the panel alongside Alicia Keys to make way for Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson.

However, Gwen teased that she won’t be going far despite losing her seat as she teased in May that she planned to return to the show behind the scenes to be with Shelton.

“I don’t have any plans to come back. I’ll let everyone know that I love being here and I’d love to come back,” Stefani said at the time. “I’ll be here to hang out and, like, hang out with Blake and try to hang out with Adam [Levine].”
