Cameron Diaz went missing from Hollywood since appearing in 2014’s musical Annie, triggering fears in her fans that the Sex Tape actress may have retired from acting – and if the possible retirement could have anything to do with her health?

After all, enjoying two decades of movie-star popularity, Cameron Diaz is still one of the most popular and highest-paid female movie stars in Hollywood – so why would she possibly go AWOL all of a sudden?

Besides, Cameron Diaz has not shared a photo on Instagram since November 2016, back when she posted a picture of herself voting at the presidential election.

Cameron Diaz shut down the acting retirement speculation with her surprise appearance at the Goop Wellness Summit on Saturday, according to E! News.

Cameron Diaz, who turns 45-years-old this coming August, sat down with three gorgeous blondes plus a no less gorgeous brunette (Miranda Kerr) at the Goop event in Culver City, California, where she addressed her sudden disappearance from the public eye.

Sitting next to Kerr, Tory Burch, Nicole Richie, and the event moderator Gwyneth Paltrow, who also happens to be Cameron Diaz’s close pal, the 44-year-old actress revealed that her exhaustive acting career has played a cruel joke on her.

Cameron Diaz revealed that one day she just couldn’t answer the question, “Who am I?” and that was a breaking point in the life of Diaz, who disappeared from Hollywood in 2014 and has been trying to crawl away from the spotlight ever since.

Saying that not being able to identify oneself is “a hard thing to face up to,” Cameron Diaz revealed that she even felt incomplete and “felt the need to make myself whole.”

Cameron Diaz, who isn’t attached to any new projects in 2017 or 2018, gushed that she would never be able to go down the soul-searching road if it wasn’t for her husband, Good Charlotte’s guitarist and singer Benji Madden. Diaz and Madden tied the knot in 2015.

When asked by Paltrow what it was that had “kept” Diaz from getting married until she turned 41-years-old, the Other Woman actress revealed that none of her extensive list of ex-boyfriends, which includes Jared Leto, Alex Rodriguez, and Justin Timberlake, had ever made her feel as good as Madden does.

Cameron Diaz said there is “a really, really distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends,” before she started gushing about her husband Madden, who is nearly seven years younger than her.

Although Cameron Diaz says she and Madden are “two very different people,” she describes Madden as her “partner in life and in everything.”

“We are so different from one another, but we share the same values — we’re totally two peas in a pod. We are both just weird enough for each other.”

However, what made Madden so special for Cameron Diaz, in particular, was apparently the fact that the 38-year-old Good Charlotte’s guitarist and singer never objectified her in their relationship.

Cameron Diaz, who says her husband has always treated her as “an equal,” also dropped a not-so-subtle bomb on her ex-boyfriends Leto and Timberlake saying that she had “never been loved in that way.”

“I never experienced that before. I look at him every day and he inspires me — he works so hard. I feel so lucky.”

Besides her love for Madden, Cameron Diaz also professed her love for avocados, olives, and lemons during the Goop discussion.

Answering Paltrow’s question “What five food items would you bring to a desert island, with the possibility you’ll have to live on it forever?” Cameron Diaz said it would be “an avocado tree, an olive tree, a lemon tree, a hen, and a rooster,” according to Entertainment Tonight.
