Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are currently on their honeymoon, and a sweet new detail about their first vacation as a married couple has been revealed.
Joy-Anna Duggar, 19, and Austin Forsyth, 23, recently told People that they’re honeymooning in Switzerland , and Joy-Anna admitted that her husband is the one who chose the destination. Austin is a huge fan of the great outdoors, and he’s always wanted to visit the European country known for its snowy peaks with breathtaking views. However, he and Joy-Anna aren’t spending all of their time trekking up and down mountains; a fan recently discovered that the couple took a break from hiking so that they could learn how to whip up some world-famous Swiss chocolate.
In a photo posted on the Keeping Up with Fundies Tumblr page, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are pictured wearing red chef hats and aprons. They’re also holding up certificates designating them as official “Swiss chocolatiers.” Joy-Anna and Austin are at The Funky Chocolate Club in Intelaken, a resort town that’s popular with tourists. The Funky Chocolate Club offers chocolate-making lessons to groups of people, and a member of Joy-Anna and Austin’s group snapped the photo below. The couple’s fellow chocolatier wrote that he “made it on TV,” so it seems as though the Counting On cameras filmed Joy-Anna and Austin learning how to melt, temper, and pour chocolate into molds.
According to The Funky Chocolate Club’s website, those who enroll in its workshop are allowed to eat as much chocolate as they want to, and the owners of the business encourage aspiring chocolatiers to get “chocolate wasted.”
After Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth got their fill of the sweet stuff and poured their melted chocolate into molds, they were allowed to decorate their tasty creations and take them home.
By taking a cooking class, Joy-Anna and Austin are keeping a Duggar honeymoon tradition alive. As many Counting On viewers may recall, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo also spent some time in a kitchen during their Australian honeymoon . They threw a few “shrimp on the barbie” while creating a seafood feast in the Land Down Under. They took a cooking class at the 4Fourteen restaurant in Sydney, where Bec the chef got a little irritated by their PDA and warned them to stop touching each other. As Us Weekly reported, Jeremy said that he just couldn’t keep his hands off his wife, joking that it “must be the crustaceans and the garlic — natural aphrodisiac.”
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald opted for a European honeymoon , visiting romantic destinations like Paris and Venice. They also toured Rome, where they took a cooking class taught by Chef Federico Alessandri. They learned how to make tomato sauce and pasta from scratch, but it took the couple a while to recover from the way Chef Alessandri greeted them; they were used to side-hugs, not double-kisses.
Josh Duggar and Jill Duggar are the only two married members of the Duggar family who didn’t take cooking classes during their honeymoons. Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna Keller, rented a six-bedroom house in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the activities they partook in included going parasailing and visiting Ripley’s Aquarium. Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, also rented a beach-side house for their honeymoon , but it was located in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. They toured a lighthouse and the Wright Brothers National Memorial.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are big fans of flying, as evidenced by the photo above, and there are plenty of aerial adventures that they can experience while they’re in Interlaken. These include skydiving and paragliding, but Austin said that he’s looking forward to going hang gliding. Joy-Anna and Austin also plan on visiting Zurmatt before they head back to Arkansas and get busy building a life together.
