Former Fiance Of Bobbi Kristina, Nick Gordon, Arrested For Allegedly Beating Up New Girlfriend
While still in the heat of a criminal investigation, Nick Gordon, the former boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina, has been arrested for allegedly beating up his new girlfriend. In 2015, Gordon was heavily involved in the mysterious death of Bobbi Kristina, daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, who was only 21 when she fell into a coma and was on life support for months before the family decided to lay her to rest. A few years prior, Gordon, who was known for years as her “big brother,” began to date her, and they became engaged to marry.
According to TMZ, Gordon was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon in Sanford, Florida. He is facing two charges, which include domestic violence battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment of an adult. Based on the report, Gordon’s girlfriend was so badly beaten on Friday evening that she had to go to the hospital. In addition, she filed a report Saturday morning “claiming she’d been battered and not allowed to leave their residence.” Nick was found at the pool area of the residence.
TMZ released a series of photos of Gordon’s girlfriend, with the alleged bruises. The full gallery can be viewed here.
Many people in Bobbi Kristina’s family were very suspicious of the relationship between Bobbi Kristina and Gordon, which formed after Whitney Houston died. As a result of Houston death, Bobbi received her mother’s $115 million estate, and trust fund installments until she could receive the full amount when she turned 30. There were significant levels of speculation that Nick began a relationship with Bobbi to join in on the financial gain that Bobbi received as heir to the estate.

This suspicion increased when Nick was charged with wrongful death of Bobbi, after Gordon placed her in the bathtub following a violent exchange and subsequent injection of a toxic mixture of drugs and alcohol. When Gordon was ordered to attend court for the sentence of paying $36 million to Bobbi Kristina’s estate, he did not show up to his scheduled appearance. As a result, the charges were handed down to Gordon, and he was both sentenced to pay the funds, as well as found liable for Bobbi’s death.
Instead of paying toward his court-ordered payment, he instead used his money acquired by interviews to pay his attorneys, and a source from TMZ stated that he would pay the $36 million “if he hits the lottery.” During this time, Gordon made sure to point the finger at both Bobbi Kristina and his attorneys, stating that Bobbi was a drug addict and his attorneys failed to bring up her consumption of weed, cocaine, morphine, anti-anxiety pills, and alcohol found in her system.
OK! Magazine reported that Gordon was trying to move on, as Baller Alert released a photo on Instagram of him and his girlfriend, who is named Laura. The caption, according to BET, read, “My sweet, handsome, considerate, protective, loving, charismatic, entertaining, compassionate, comforting, warm hearted, outstanding, simply incredible boyfriend: I’m beyond blessed because you’re the best.”

Social media users were immediately skeptical about the new relationship, posting comments such as, “He can find a girlfriend but can’t find a job. Why Nick don’t post that he have a job now,” “Better watch herself make sure you ain’t rich either he will plot to kill you next,” and “This poor woman has no idea what she is in for,” among many others.
Seemingly, some of the social media reactions were not too outlandish, because there was a situation that allegedly led to Gordon becoming so enraged that he beat Laura to the point of having many bruises. Moreover, this new information does not help Gordon at all in regards to his ongoing criminal investigation of wrongful death in Bobbi Kristina’s case.
