The Notorious B.I.G.’s autopsy report has been leaked for the first time since his mid-90s death, and newly revealed details about the murder of Biggie reveal the graphic details about the hail of bullets that took down one of the era’s most prolific rappers.
B.I.G.’s autopsy report followed his 1997 killing — for which no arrest has ever been made, despite years of speculation and investigation surrounding the 24-year-old rap legend’s death.
B.I.G’s autopsy report details a gruesome and ultimately fatal series of wounds, ones that killed the East Coast rapper despite emergency surgery following the attack. According to TMZ , where the report was leaked, three of four shots that struck Big weren’t fatal — the site explains:
“Christopher Wallace sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, shoulder, leg, forearm and scrotum on the night he was murdered in L.A. back in 1997 … According to the report, 3 of the shots were NOT fatal.”
TMZ continues:
“– Gunshot #1 struck Wallace in the left forearm and traveled down to his wrist. — Gunshot #2 struck Wallace in the back, missed all vital organs, and exited through his left shoulder. — Gunshot #3 struck Wallace on his outer left thigh and exited through his inner left thigh.”
B.I.G.’s autopsy report also indicates that the hip-hop legend was “morbidly obese” at the time he was shot and killed by an unknown assailant, listed as a stocky 6’1?, 395 pounds — and adds the “decedent may be [a] rap singer.”
Ultimately, the bullet B.I.G.’s autopsy report says was responsible for his death pierced the rapper’s “colon, liver, heart and the upper lobe of his left lung,” leading to his demise despite an emergency thoracotomy at Cedars-Sinai hospital.
