Justin Bieber and David Guetta are gearing up to drop an EDM summer jam this Friday — namely, “2U.”
The pop icon confirmed the pair’s upcoming single early Tuesday in a tweet tagging the French producer-DJ.
Justin wrote, “New music. This Friday. Me and @davidguetta #2U.”
The Canadian’s announcement comes after cryptic teases were rolled out by the pop star and others yesterday amid rumors .
These hints included Bieber tweeting the names of six Victoria’s Secret Angels — Elsa, Jasmine, Sara, Romee, Stella, and Martha.
For his part, Guetta retweeted Bieber’s tweet, spiking online rumors further before the next day reveal.
More online speculation followed when supermodel Sara Sampaio added a lighthearted emoji to the superstar’s tweet at her page. She subsequently shared a muted video and another with sound .
Swedish Victoria’s Secret Angel Elsa Hoske and African-American supermodel Jasmine Tookes posted similarly muted videos teasing the (likely) banger to their respective Instagram accounts.
In the clips, the models seductively yet tastefully mouth the lyrics to Bieber and Guetta’s forthcoming song.
It is reasonable to wonder if the six Victoria Secret’s models Bieber tweeted will be featured in the music video accompanying “2U’s” release.
Model-centric Twitter accounts agree.
Hoske’s captioned the video shown below, “@justinbieber was wondering if you could guess these lyrics… @victoriassecret.”
In addition to the Victoria Secret’s Angels’ teases, online Justin Bieber fan sites revealed “2U” lyrics were posted to numerous fans in the mail.
Some of the recipients shared shocked and delighted messages on Twitter.
For those who can’t wait until Friday to hear “U2,” some fans think they know what it will sound like,
Some enterprising Beliebers sourced an online snippet of an unreleased track that Justin previewed in a club months ago.
The music heard in the video below fits the words Hoske lip-synced to in her video.

“2U” is Guetta and the Biebs’ first collaboration. Ahead of its release, Steve Bartels , CEO of Def Jam — the record label that Bieber is signed to — talked up the single in a recent interview.
“We’re doing a new release on Friday with Bieber and David Guetta called ‘2U,’” he told Variety .
Bartels continued, “We’ll be working on in conjunction with Warner France — we’ll be taking care of it here.”
“It’s a massive record,” he went on to say, “and it’s another song that’s gonna compete for song of the summer even though it’s starting later than the other two.”
The “other two” refers to the Biebs’ current features, both of which are (or have) topping charts around the world.
The biggest of the two is the “Despacito” remix with Puerto Rico stars, Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee, which is No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Hot 100 chart for the second consecutive week.
The other is “I’m The One,” DJ Khaled’s all-star summer jam that features Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, Migos’ Quavo, and the Biebs.

Meanwhile, as anticipation builds for “2U,” fans and music observers continue to muse on the upcoming single and Bieber’s stratospheric career resurgence — which has seen him top charts in a number of features and wow most critics with the success and quality of his Purpose album .
Billboard previously first revealed Bieber’s collaboration with “an EDM star” would be dropping in June and called the 23-year-old “the act to beat” amid other future releases.
“It could very well be the summer of Bieber,” Erik Bradley, music director of WBBM-FM (B96) Chicago, told the music publication.
Will “2U” overtake Bieber’s still buoyant features and become the new “Song Of The Summer?”
