Is Halle Berry Pregnant? Actress Responds To Rumors Through Reps
Halle Berry has denied rumors that she is pregnant. There had been speculations over the weekend that the 50-year-old actress was expecting her third child after Berry seemingly appeared with a baby bump.
Halle Berry may have unintentionally started the talks about her alleged pregnancy when she attended the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The Oscar winner, who appeared on the purple carpet wearing a silver dress, rubbed her abdomen while posing for pictures. Her gestures did not go unnoticed and led to social media chatter about who the father of the child may be. Several news websites reported that Berry might be pregnant.
On social media, Halle Berry fans shared their opinion about her rumored pregnancy. Some said they suspected the Catwoman star had been pregnant after she appeared on VH1’s show Dear Mama in May, Vibe reported.
In light of the rumors, Halle Berry’s agents say the mother of two is not expecting another child.
“It is completely untrue. She is not pregnant,” the actress’ reps told Page Six.
Halle Berry seems to have taken the rumors in good stride. She took to Instagram to address her pregnancy rumors with a photo of herself and a caption which read, “Can a girl have some steak and fries?”
Berry has a 9-year-old daughter named Nahla with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. She also has a 3-year-old son named Maceo with ex-husband Olivier Martinez.
In 2016, the Extant actress finalized her divorce from Martinez, her third husband. The couple, who reportedly met on the set of Dark Tide, was married for three years before their bitter split.
Martinez’s temper has been blamed for their divorce. In 2015, the former boxer lost his cool and pushed a LAX employee with a baby seat, the Daily Mail reported.
However, sources say Martinez may not be the only one with a short fuse. According to Us Weekly, Halle Berry and the French actor were both very competitive, and they fought a lot.
“Things were extremely bitter with them as the marriage went on and in the end,” Us Weekly stated. “Finally they both tried to file against each other. It was always like that, very hearted and a lot of competition and battling between them. Two extreme tempers and people that love to fight.”
Halle Berry recently posted a tribute on Instagram for her cat named Playdough, who died of cancer. Berry shared a photo of her herself holding Playdough with Maceo. The family photo was accompanied with the following caption.
“Yesterday, me heart broke as we had to put our beloved Playdough to rest due to brain cancer.
“This little guy lit up our lives and brought us joy every day for 16 years! While his loss is tough for all of us, especially my children, it’s an inevitable part of life.
“The bond my kids shared with Playdough was unique and special and through it, they learned compassion and kindness and the importance of loving and caring for life’s sweetest creatures.”
Meanwhile, Halle Berry has been linked with starring in the remake of the 1958 sci-fi classic The Blob. Other Hollywood stars have also been linked with the horror classic which was first released in 1958 starring Steve McQueen.
Swengroup, a horror movie production company, has reportedly updated their listing for The Blob on their site. Simon West, director of The Expendables 2, is expected to work on the remake of the cult classic. There are reports that veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson will make an appearance in the movie. But this has not been confirmed.
