Jenelle Evans Abortion: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star’s Former Husband Courtland Rogers Speaks Up
Jenelle Evans reportedly chose to terminate a pregnancy towards the end of her marriage to Courtland Rogers.
As Teen Mom 2 fans may recall, Jenelle Evans began dating Courtland Rogers in September 2012, and by December of that year, the couple had tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony. However, their wedded bliss was short-lived, and by January of the following year, Evans reportedly chose to terminate her pregnancy as their marriage came to an abrupt end.
“It takes two people to have a baby, I respect her wishes on that,” Rogers said during a June 5 interview with Radar Online. “I don’t regret it. It’s what she wanted at the time. I had respect for her on the situation.”
Jenelle Evans and Courtland Rogers tied the knot in 2012 and remained married until 2014 due to a law in North Carolina which required a one-year separation before the finalization of their divorce.
Although the couple appeared to be at the end of their marriage in January 2013, they shocked fans in April 2013 when they were arrested for heroin and assault after a domestic dispute between them.
“We weren’t in our right minds,” Courtland Rogers explained of their legal drama. “I don’t know what would’ve happened if we had the baby.”
Jenelle Evans and Courtland Rogers were together for several months but didn’t appear together at all on Teen Mom 2. Instead, Evans called it quits with her husband before the start of filming and quickly moved on with Nathan Griffith, the father of her second son, two-year-old Kaiser.
“When we tried it out, we were both high,” Courtland Rogers previously told Radar Online of his marriage to the reality star. “If I loved [Jenelle Evans] that much on drugs, I could only imagine how it would be if we were sober.”
While Courtland Rogers would love to have another shot with Jenelle Evans and recently proclaimed his love for her on Twitter, he now says he will not make an effort to reach out to her because she “looks happy” with her current fiancé, David Eason, with whom she shares a four-month-old daughter.
“At the end of the day, that’s all I ever wanted for [Jenelle Evans],” Courtland Rogers explained.

After splitting from Jenelle Evans years ago, Courtland Rogers was sentenced to three years in prison for possession of heroin and remained incarcerated until March of this year.
In January 2013, Jenelle Evans was believed to have suffered a miscarriage, not chosen abortion. As fans of the reality star may recall, a friend of Jenelle Evans confirmed her alleged miscarriage to Radar Online.
“[Jenelle Evans] lost the baby this morning,” the friend explained. “She’s sad and upset, but she’ll make it through.”
At the time her alleged miscarriage was happening, Jenelle Evans shared several tweets on her Twitter page in which she suggested she was falling ill.

Jenelle Evans has welcomed two children since her divorce, including two-year-old Kaiser and four-month-old Ensley, and also has an older son from her past relationship with Andrew Lewis, seven-year-old Jace. However, as fans of Teen Mom 2 have likely heard, Jenelle Evans’ mother, Barbara Evans, is Jace’s primary custodian.
Jenelle Evans and her family, including her current fiancé, David Eason, and their total of five children, are currently in the midst of production on Teen Mom 2 Season 8. No word yet on when the new installment will air on MTV.
