Season 4 Finale Cliffhanger – Will Daya Pull The Trigger?
Conditions inside Litchfield has been rapidly declining since Season 3, With the privatization of the facility, more budget cuts have been implemented, resulting in the deterioration of the correctional facility’s standard, made even worse by its abusive correctional officers. And then there was the death of inmate Poussey Washington, which, couple with the way it was handled by the institution, lit the fuse of the whole situation, sending the entire prison into a riot.
Aside from seeking justice for Poussey’s death, the prisoners wanted to make their own demands to the authorities, especially with the living condition inside. The situation escalated pretty quickly and soon enough, the abusive CO Humphreys is facing the barrel of a gun, a weapon that he illegally brought with him inside. Holding the gun was Daya (Dascha Polanco) who managed to pick it up when it was dropped by the CO. In a tense moment, the other inmates were shouting, cheering Daya on, but then the screen went black as a shot was heard.

Of course, thrilled fans have been speculating for the longest time whether Daya actually shot Humps or not. Speaking about her onscreen character Dayanara Diaz, actress Dascha Polanco explained to the Hollywood Reporter in a previous interview on why the normally non-violent Daya is capable of pulling the trigger at that moment.
“She’s in a dark place, Dayanara’s a victim of her circumstance. It’s a cycle that keeps on repeating itself. She’s been fighting it for so long and now there’s no way of her fighting it. Right now it’s her accepting things and I think she’s over it.”
Of course, that is not actually admitting that Daya shot Humps. If it’s any consolation, fans need to wait only a few more days for the answer to the question that has been plaguing them for almost a year to be revealed.

The Dark Overlord Hacking
But the answer might have been already revealed to fans who inadvertently stumbled upon the first 10 episodes of Orange is the New Black Season 5, which was prematurely released online. Apparently, a hacker or perhaps a group of hackers calling themselves The Dark Overload managed to obtain a copy of the show and posted it online, Variety reported.
The Dark Overlord originally wanted streaming giant Netflix to pay an undisclosed amount in exchange for not releasing the first 10 episodes of the OITNB Season 5. However, the company refused to deal with the group.
Lately, it appears that The Dark Overlord has other fish to fry. Apparently, the group also plans to demand a ransom from other entertainment companies as well. The hacker group claimed to have obtained digital copies of still unaired shows like ABC’s The Catch and Disney Channel’s Bunk’d.
