‘The Bachelor’ Lovebirds Nick Viall, Vanessa Grimaldi Take In Montreal As Their Engagement Flourishes
The Bachelor stars Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi got engaged while filming Season 21 last winter. Despite some tense moments during their “After the Final Rose” special this past March, she moved from Montreal, Canada to Los Angeles, California to be with her man once they were able to go public with their engagement. The two have made it clear that they are in no rush to tie the knot, but they are together and have been spending some time back in Canada.
Vanessa Grimaldi has talked about deciding to move to Los Angeles to be with Bachelor finance Nick Viall, noting that her family supports her decision. She was by his side throughout his time on Dancing With the Stars, but the two had to spend a bit of time apart as the DWTS finale hit. Grimaldi headed back to Canada for a visit while Viall had to stay in Los Angeles to participate in the Dancing With the Stars finale.
Nick and Vanessa’s separation did not last long, however. Once the DWTS finale was over and done, Viall jetted to Montreal to see his fiance. The two Bachelor stars have shared quite a few pictures via social media and it looks like they are pretty happy to be together again after their very brief separation.
E! Online notes that this is Nick’s first time back in Montreal since his hometown date with Vanessa during their Bachelor season. It seems that Viall and Grimaldi had plans to spend about a week in Canada together before heading back to Los Angeles. This is his first chance to really check out Montreal since things are pretty rushed and controlled during the filming of the hometown date.
While Nick met Vanessa’s family while filming The Bachelor, this is his first chance to spend quality time with them and really bond. Grimaldi has shared quite a few posts via Instagram showing Nick with her brother and sources say that Nick has been anxious to support Vanessa back in her hometown after she was so supportive during his Dancing With the Stars stint.
Grimaldi and Viall may be heading back to Los Angeles quite soon, but Vanessa already has another trip back to Canada lined up for July. The Bachelor winner tweeted that she will be involved with a fundraiser in Montreal on July 16 to support the No Better You Foundation. This foundation supports students in the special needs community in Canada, and as Bachelor fans know, Grimaldi’s career is focused on working in special education and this is a cause near and dear to her heart.
What does the future hold for Nick and Vanessa? As was previously reported by the Inquisitr, Viall and Grimaldi were reportedly spotted apartment hunting in Los Angeles together, as his current lease apparently is about to expire. It sounds as if she will be traveling back and forth between Canada and California a bit in the months ahead, but despite some early doubts, this Bachelor pair does seem to be doing well together.
Nick and Vanessa may not have been slated to stay in Canada for terribly long together this time, but it does sound as if they have plenty of plans together on the horizon. Grimaldi and Viall are in no rush to plan a wedding and they have been open about the fact that they are taking things slowly. Despite that, the Bachelor stars do seem to be committed to making this engagement work and fans will be curious to see what comes next.
