Luke Pell Is Not Going To ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ But This ‘Bachelor’ Favorite Will Be There
Amanda Stanton will take another shot at finding love when she joins Bachelor in Paradise this summer. Stanton committed to a second run on the show months after calling it quits with her Bachelor in Paradise romance Josh Murray. Who won’t be joining Stanton in BIP this summer?
According to Hollywood Life, inside sources confirmed that Stanton decided to return to Bravo’s hit reality dating show after her romance with Murray fell apart. Murray proposed to Stanton during the Season 3 finale and their relationship seemed fine in the weeks following the show. Murray moved to Southern California and bonded well with Stanton’s daughters. Things changed, however, after a blowout fight in December and the couple couldn’t keep it together.
Stanton and Murray eventually parted ways in January and haven’t looked back since. “When we were on the show, it felt like I had met the love of my life,” Stanton shared after the split. “It’s really hard, I think, to move on from that. I think we’re both having a hard time moving on. There’s a lot of things and situations in the real world you don’t experience while you’re there [in Paradise].”
Stanton’s BIP co-stars tried to warn her throughout Season 3, especially after Murray’s ex-fiancée, Andi Dorfman, published a book outlining his abusive nature. We can only hope that Stanton has learned her lesson and won’t fall into the same trap this season.
While Stanton is preparing for the new season, E! News reports that Bachelorette favorite Luke Pell will not join her on Bachelor in Paradise. Pell was interviewed on the Ben and Ashley: Almost Famous podcast and dropped the news that he won’t be going in front of the cameras this year.
“For me, it’s actually something I’m not interested in right now,” he shared. “Obviously, that’s been on the table for a lot of folks that are alumni for at least the last couple of seasons. Just for me, after some discussions, it just didn’t feel right for me. I’m actually going to go on Paradise this year.”
Both hosts of the podcast, Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti, supported Pell’s decision. Higgins told him that keeping his priorities straight is important, even though many fans will be disappointed that he isn’t going on the show. Iaconetti echoed these sentiments and added that she might call Pell down the road.
Pell won over Bachelor Nation during his bid for JoJo Fletcher’s rose last year. After Fletcher dumped him, rumors surfaced that Pell was dating Bachelor alum Danielle Lombard. The two were spotted hanging out in Miami together, though Pell later shut down the romance rumors.
“You know, a lot of the people get really excited to see Bachelor alumni anytime that they’re interacting,” he explained. “I will say this—[Danielle] is great. We have a lot of fun together the few times that we’ve been able to hang out and try to get to know each other.”
Meanwhile, ET Online reports that Corinne Olympios is also joining Bachelor in Paradise this year. The Bachelor villain is the latest to confirm her involvement this summer, along with Robby Hayes. Filming for Season 4 is expected to kick off in a couple weeks.
Apart from Stanton and Olympios, Accept This Rose reports that other cast members might include the likes of Raven Gates, Alexis Waters, and Taylor Nolan, all of whom were seen packing their bags on social media over the past week.
ABC has not announced an official cast list for Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise. The network is currently busy promoting Rachel Lindsay’s run on The Bachelorette, which airs Monday nights.
